Florida College was conceived in 1942, its charter drafted in 1944, and its first students enrolled in 1946. From its beginning the College has remained independent of church affiliation and has operated without financial support either from churches or from the government. The College charter has stipulated from the beginning that each member of the Board of Directors be a Christian, active and in good standing in a local church of Christ.
The founders envisioned an education integrating the Bible into a liberal arts curriculum.

International Student Admissions
Florida College is a great place for international students to continue their education. Florida College is a small private college with an emphasis in high academics within a spiritual environment. All the students are required to attend bible classes every day, as well as chapel. They have a conservative dress code and conduct code for our students and faculty. As Florida College is a small institution, the international student scholarship capabilities are much more limited than those available through public institutions. They do have on-campus housing. All of the freshmen and sophomore class students are required to stay in the on-campus housing facilities.
Florida College is an investment in your future, and there are ways to make your education affordable regardless of your financial situation. There are a vast array of scholarships, grants, loans, and other special programs you can tap into to pay for school, and we're here to help you receive as much money as possible.
Florida College offers three types of scholarships:
* Academic Scholarships. These awards are based on high school GPA and ACT/SAT scores. Your highest score will be recorded so take these tests more than once!
* Endowed Scholarships. These awards are created by private donors, often for a specific purpose, and are awarded based on need. To qualify, you must file both a FAFSA and an Endowed Scholarship Application form.
* Departmental Scholarships. These awards are based on proficiency and previous experience in vocal music, band, sports, and forensics. Students audition or try-out for these awards.
