We are a University interested in the excellence of its services, committed to quality teaching, student attendance, teacher performance and employee satisfaction. Based on these challenges, we chose to make this University a place for an education strongly based on ethics, introduction to scientific research and their students in participatory management. Our mission and vocation is to become an agent of development of the city and our country.

Where are we?

It is very easy to reach the Campus UNIMETRO, which operate the four schools that comprise the university. Located in the Morro Bento II, a booming urban center and development, you need only 25 minutes to reach from the University Mutamba of Kinaxis, the Citadel and the First of May Square, and approximately 10 minutes From the International Airport on Feb. 4.


All scientific, academic and administrative are combined into a single pole: Campus Morro Bento II. In it are merged the Faculty of Education, Arts and Letters ( FELA ), the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities ( FACIEH ), the Faculty of Technological Sciences and Engineering ( FATEC ) and the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences ( FAEG ).

Various services and facilities are available on the premises and the area surrounding the campus: mechano-therapy rooms and reproducing, Bookstore, drawers, banks, hotels, hospitals Multiperfil there are only 400 m, and many others.

Buildings and Facilities

With modern architecture, bold and booming, the UNIMETRO occupies a total area of ​​1000m2, with two large modern buildings constructed. The main building, 5 floors, the Faculties are located, the laboratories, the Center for Information and Technology (ICT), the administrative division, and divisions of academic management (General Office and Registry Services and Protocol).

A second annex building of 4 floors, houses the administrative offices of the Dean, Academic Board, and the Library, Convention Room and Tavern which is located downstairs.


In addition to private parking for 60 vehicles, all around the campus provides space and facilities for parking your car so comfortable and totally safe. As of now two parks, one of which is expected to erect a building for a parking accommodation matching the magnitude of the project.

The Management Model

The UNIMETRO organizes its activities in accordance with the "matrix management model." This model is based on the interaction between the projects, units and means. The projects are: teaching, research and extension (specialized services to the community). The units are the Faculties, in addition to offices (services) of Community Development and Student Support Services.

The interaction of organizational and academic all these areas provides a very flexible framework for cross-curriculum science, enabling the effective use of available resources to ensure, by itself, the efficiency of the whole University.
