University description (as per official university website)

Ibn Tofail University, founded in 1989, consists of the following institutions:

Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (opened in 1985).
Faculty of Sciences (opened in 1985).
Faculty of Juridical, Economic and Social Affairs (established by Decree No. 290554 of January 8, 1991). A chain of Economics and Management is initiated under the 2003-2004 academic year and is the core of this institution.
National School of Business and Management (inaugurated in 2005)
National School of Applied Sciences (opened in 2008).
University City (opened in 1989).
Maâmora residence hall (opened in 2005).

Since the start of the reform of higher education in 2003, Ibn Tofail University has gradually shifted toward decisions of the highest importance that made it in the eyes of the national academic community, a distinguished reference regarding inter alia: the computerized management of curriculum, strengthening the teaching of languages, the multiplication of rational and targeted training, creating favorable conditions for the proper functioning of a digital work environment, promoting research and cooperation in promising areas.

Taking into account a number of indicators (quality of teaching, success rate, fertility science ...), any outside observer can only be satisfied with what has been achieved with dedication and rigor, with the help generous of all actors and all the components of the university.

Today, with the launch of the Emergency Plan , Ibn Tofail University is expected to face new challenges as dictated by global conditions, which is known to be strongly marked by fierce competition, as the mutation deep in our country in its march towards progress as it emerges with major strategic projects recently implemented by His Majesty King Mohammed VI .

Without turning away from its traditional mission dedicated to training in key areas of knowledge, Ibn Tofail University's interest to invest further in new career choices, in line with expectations and needs constant cast nationally and regionally.

That the social demand especially for our university could not be clearer: to train quality skills that are able to occupy key functions, with intelligence and efficiency in various sectors and segments of development activities.

Must also admit that it is high time to respond more efficiently and more committed to this demand by choosing a priority for:
- Enhancement and resizing acquired by completing the construction and ongoing expansion and opening others.
- The establishment of innovative training courses whose job market feels greatly extreme necessity.
- The consolidation of laboratories accredited Centres of Excellence, adapted to the demands of scientific research completed, anxious to intellectual property and results-based (production, patents, awards of merit ...).
- Strengthening our ability to appeal valuing our services (expertise, consultancy, technology transfer and know-how ...) so vis-à-vis socio-economic policy makers towards our partners and potential, without alienate our own values ​​or be guided by other principles than those of co-development, interactive exchange and mutual.
- The consolidation of our technology platform (including the deployment of WiFi on campus) to make both a communication tool, interface and information development
e. learning and renewal of skills and a stepping stone to what the digital world can bring us as wealth and value added in terms of mastery of scientific knowledge.
- The active participation of our university projects and national and international programs that can raise the highest standards recognized the performance of our staff (faculty, technical and administrative), and build additional support for us in terms of material and logistics.
- The breakdown of allocations and financial flows in the manner that can best achieve the desired objectives, and that on the basis of criteria, indicators and dashboards involving decision-making bodies of the University.
- The movement of some of our activities to the city as part of the so-called " open university or citizen , including scientific meetings, debates, seminars and conferences on themes would be at the heart of the concerns of the city and its region.
- Close coordination with local authorities and businesses to contribute the most successful projects of common interest, and whose principal purpose is other than the emergence of new clusters, the " territories intelligent . "
- The improvement of study and life of our students through a number of actions that can be broken as follows:

achieve with the ONOUSC infrastructure (city and restaurant) capable of supporting their home on campus;
attend their training by instruments of guidance, counseling and monitoring their plans for integration in society by introducing them to the entrepreneurial culture;
provide all necessary assistance to the creation of incubators for the benefit of the most deserving among the holders of professional projects generating more value;
increase support for the success and excellence through the mobilization of incentives and appropriate forms of direct tutoring or online;
encourage more cultural activities and sports to make a real lever for development of young talent, a space of awareness of critical thinking and hatching creative energies.
These are some of the outline of the new development project of our university for years to come. We wanted a realistic, because based on the pooling and optimizing our resources, unifying and perfectly applicable in the field, because based on interdependence, connectivity and collaboration, modern, responsible and challenging as given the importance it attaches to the development of logical links between the realities of our time and calls the future.
