The College was founded in 1972 as Chaparral College, a career college focusing on programs in secretarial sciences as well as accounting and marketing. In 1978, the College added a branch campus on North Oracle Road in northwest Tucson. In 1984, the College moved to its current location at 4585 E. Speedway Boulevard and consolidated the two campuses into a new facility.
In 1994, the College began awarding associate’s degrees. Then two years later, to meet a growing demand, the College began offering bachelor’s degrees.
Brown Mackie College — Tucson is dedicated to helping you complete a college education that will prepare you to launch a career or enhance your current one in an increasingly competitive economy. Here, you can choose from programs that will enable you to become part of the growing fields of business, health care, legal assistance, or computer technology.
