San Salvador, El Salvador

Mision Vision
Academic excellence to train professionals, aware of the service to their peers and with a Christian ethic based on the scriptures to meet the needs and changes in society
To be the leading higher education institution Regional for academic excellence and innovation, recognized by its nature and practice of the Gospel.

Constituted under Chapter II, Section III, Article 61 of the Constitution of the Republic, the Higher Education Act, other laws and regulations that enable and ensure higher education college in El Salvador. Bylaws were originally approved by the Executive in the Field of Education by Agreement No. 2348 dated June 24, 1981, and Agreement No. 605 dated 17 July of that year, the Ministry of Interior, updated to the new rules of the Higher Education Act by Agreement No. 15-0867 of July 29, 2005 in the Field of Education and published in the Official Journal No. 174, Volume 368 of September 21, 2005.

Evangelical University was founded by a group of evangelical Christian men, professionals, entrepreneurs, businessmen, members of different churches and evangelical denominations, mostly Baptist churches, Assemblies of God and the American Mission, who led by The Lord Jesus Christ were proposed to contribute to solving the problems of higher education in the context of the economic and social situation in El Salvador at the beginning of the decade and that devastated our country for over ten years.

In these circumstances, based on sound professional experience of many in the field of secondary and university education and encouraged only by chance that the evangelicals would contribute, from the perspective of the values of the Kingdom of God, training professionals with different background, which had as its ultimate goal to change our society from a difference in people, this group of men started the project in January of that year, starting the academic activities in the month of June of the same year, offering various courses in six faculties: Medicine, Dentistry, Social Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Engineering and Architecture.

The University also started its activities under one of the most promising signs of Christianity in what was the Jewish synagogue in the capital city, which ran for several years, until the required growth needs of new space.

Given the new demands of growth and statutory requirement, the University was launched by faith, in the year 1995, the project of building its own campus, long dream, and hoping to have the blessing of God required the acquisition of land needed in the area northwest of the city that year, the phases of design, permitting and financing in the year 1996, and its construction in 1997, the project that was established in a beautiful reality in the year 1998, with its opening in January of that year, and beginning the academic activities at the complex which now runs the University from February.

Evangelical University, over the years, has become one of the best universities in the country, especially the commitment made in the training of high academic quality, with a mysticism of service to their peers and training which includes principles and values based on the Scriptures.
