The university community has as its fundamental commitment "Getting to be a caring community, entrepreneurship and sustainable."

The challenges the world of knowledge are diverse, but in our reality challenges us poverty and all its consequences of ignorance, inequality and corruption. Overcoming poverty requires greater solidarity, greater economic prosperity, greater social inclusion, public policy and higher levels of active citizenship.

The university community must be committed to these processes through its teaching, research and extension. These functions must be addressed with programs relevant to the reality that we have and with which we build, flexible in their curriculum components, innovative from the pedagogical point of view, able to meet increased demands, or distance.
