Universitaria Los Libertadores Foundation is an institution of higher education and nonprofit public utility, established on May 14, 1982, by a distinguished group of personalities of national life, who had as an essential foundation libertarian work, supported by the principles, dreams and ideals of the symbols of our nationhood: Bolívar, Santander and Nariño, who, as political actors, shape the values of freedom, order and justice, educational ideals which inspired the educational horizon of our institution. On this date, signed the articles of incorporation and the assembly structured the first interim board.
Professionals and citizens formed integrally critical broad sense of the social, ethical, aesthetic and political research relevant, innovative and entrepreneurial spirit through the permanent qualification of the education program, curriculum and administrative, which are consistent with the progress of science , technology and supported on the economic, political, social, educational and cultural development of local, regional, national and international.
The University Foundation Libertadores is projected as a social organization of higher education leadership in the use of technologies as mediators in the process of comprehensive training in social, economic, cultural, political, humanistic and scientific through strategies, distance learning and virtual, with proposals for lifelong learning, use of innovative methodologies appropriate to the context of higher education locally, nationally and internationally to contribute to the development of Colombian society.
