University is a state related to society and knowledge economy in all fields, creating and participating in networks and other forms of interaction.

It is a development center that created, transformed, transferred, contextualized, implements, manages, and to exchange knowledge in all its forms and expressions, giving priority to sustainable development in coffee-ecoregion.

Is a community of teaching, learning and practice, which interacts seeking the common good, in an atmosphere of participation, dialogue, social responsibility and human development, characterized by pluralism and respect for difference, immersed in ongoing processes of planning, assessment and control.

It is an organization that learns and develops processes in all fields of knowledge, contributing to the betterment of society, to educate citizens competent, ethical and critical thinking, leading social and economic transformation.

The missionary functions allow it to offer its services from academic to public or private sector in all its orders, through agreements or contracts for technical, scientific, artistic, consulting or otherwise related to their missionary goals.

High quality university, leading to 2019 in the region and the country, its overall competitiveness in teaching, research, innovation, extension and management for human development with social responsibility and impact, immersed in the international community.

The university administration adopted a policy of decentralization and devolution.

University management in all its forms will be framed in a continuous planning process. All activities at the university will be evaluated and results will be used to improve processes continuously.
