Faithful to the mission Santo Tomás, the educational project of the Corporation is focused on excellence and quality of teaching, as well as training and development of their students.
This training process involves growth and continuous improvement, resulting in a constant search for instances of academic development and extension projects in Chile and the world.

The growth of St. Thomas in recent years is reflected in the realization of national projects, partnerships with educational institutions in other countries and also in the significant investment in infrastructure and equipment that has been carried out, all in function to generate a dynamics of continuous improvement of educational services in anticipation of filling the current and future needs, mainly students, but also the faculty and administration.
Convinced that education provided by St. Thomas in the classroom is what Chile needs to progress, this organization places ever higher goals and thanks to this spirit is configured today, considering the three formats, such as private higher education system autonomous and largest accredited and a network of schools based on the same principles and is the educational background and training of our Corporation.

1975 / 1995

St. Thomas is an educational system with national presence, serving the training of people at different levels of education, Education, Technical Training Center, and University Professional Institute. For over 35 years, and inspired by the thought of St. Thomas Aquinas, has participated in the training of people with a strong emphasis on the development of qualities and virtues.
Mr. Gerardo Rocha Vera founded the Center for Paramedics, PROPAM, originating in 1981 at Technical Training Center, National Center for Agricultural and Paramedical Studies, PROPAM, pioneer in the area providing paramedical careers.


It is based Technical Training Centre, American Centre for Education and Culture, Cidec, pioneer in offering courses mainly in the area of communications, tourism, secretarial, computer, foreign trade, accounting and design.
Establishing the St. Thomas School of Puerto Montt, for students in preschool, primary and secondary education with humanistic scientific differentiated education.

Ministry of Education authorizes the operation of the Technical Training Center, Cidec, in 16 cities: Arica, Iquique, Antofagasta, La Serena, Ovalle, Viña del Mar, Santiago, Rancagua, Curico, Talca, Chillán, Concepción, Temuco, Valdivia, Puerto Montt Punta Arenas.

Ministry of Education authorizes the operation of the Technical Training Center, PROPAM, in 16 cities: Arica, Iquique, Antofagasta, La Serena, Ovalle, Viña del Mar, Santiago, Rancagua, Curico, Talca, Chillán, Concepción, Temuco, Valdivia, Puerto Montt Punta Arenas.

Ministry of Education authorizes the operation of the Instituto Profesional Santo Tomás in ten cities: Antofagasta, La Serena, Ovalle, Viña del Mar, Santiago, Rancagua, Talca, Concepción, Puerto Montt and Punta Arenas, where careers are taught as Social Services, Accountant, Public Relations, Engineering Design and Implementation.
Ministry of Education authorizes the operation of the Technical Training Center, CEPSA, with senior technical careers in the paramedical field.

Ministry of Education approves the statutes and organizations examining the careers of the University of Santo Tomas.
St. Thomas University started its academic activities by offering Agronomy, Veterinary Medicine, Forestry, Commercial Engineering, Psychology and Journalism.

Establishing the St. Thomas College of St. Bernard, for students in preschool and basic education.
