The Bolivarian University is an institution of higher education that emerges from processes of reconstruction of Chilean civil society in the late 80's as an expression of the alternative world.

Its mission is to contribute to cultural change, socially sustainable, through the institutionalization in the field of Social Sciences, a practice that integrates innovative university in an inextricable knot three strategic dimensions: education, social research and community intervention.

The most remarkable feature of the Bolivarian University is the practical emphasis of the training proposal.

The dimension of practical training and field acquires an absolute centrality in the curricular organization of the various races.

Mission and Vision

From the history and rationale described above, the Bolivarian University presents the mission:

"Training professionals with critical integrity, committed to local and national development through modern educational model that responds to the needs and demands of professional and social skills"

"Being an alternative concerning the higher education system, with a label formats and according to high standards of academic quality and organizational"
