The University of the Campaign, agent, trainer of professionals to work in various areas of knowledge, engages in refining and intensifying the education, linking it to the Research and Extension. In this constant search around for total benefits the regional community (Campaign and Westermarck).

Senior Management

The Foundation is the parent Atilla Taborda URCAMP, managed by the Board. Currently the Board is structured to include representation from all municipalities where the university is installed. URCAMP The Senior Management is exercised by the Dean, including a Pro-Rector and Academic Dean of Administration, this structure is linked to Coordination of Extension and Research, the Office of Post-graduate students and the Dean of University Campus. The Office of the Dean also has the Legal Department and technical advice.

In 1969 the Foundation was established University of Bage, later transformed into a Foundation Attila Taborda, integrating, gradually, under single administration level, the higher education courses and throwing, then the foundations of the future University. Were allowed new courses and units of instruction: School of Law (1969), Faculty of Physical Education (1972), Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and School of Agronomy (1976). Was configured so the structure of the United Colleges of Bage FUnBA maintained by the Foundation now Attila Taborda educational institution autonomous administrative point of view, educational, financial and disciplinary, consisting of seven (07) Teaching Units, functionally integrated, as Unified Rules . The range of institutional scope, qualification of faculty, and other factors of academic maturity, the institution earned recognition as a University through Ordinance 052, February 16, 1989. Was born the University of the Campaign URCAMP.

New Units

Gradually, others joined the university campus institution: February 15, the CFE Opinion No. 183/89 of the campus and Dom Pedrito Cašapava South, in 1990, was set up new campus in the city of San Gabriel, on July 14 1992 by Decree No. 107/92 URCAMP adds to the campus of St. Anne of Deliverance, on November 7, 1996, higher education of San Borja were incorporated by Ordinance No. 1148 of the MEC. On the same date, Ordinance 1143 authorizing the transfer and maintenance of higher education in the city of Alegrete. And on February 23, 2001 authorized the university campus Itaqui MEC by Ordinance No. 346.

The URCAMP, under Law 5540/68, aims to promote education, research and extension, promoting the development of science in all branches of knowledge, literature and arts and professional training at university level, based on values processing and committed to extending the benefits of development to all members of the regional community.


The objectives of the University of the campaign: to value the human person and his activity, reason for being URCAMP, conceived in its dimensions of freedom, solidarity and build a transcendental atmosphere of authenticity, through participation, understood as a manifestation and sharing of expertise human and cultural values to cultivate sensitivity in qualitative understanding of the meanings of existence, transcending the immediate and practical-utilitarian, participation in regional development to adopt a pedagogy of reality, through the fundamental relationship between teaching, research and extension, in critical reading world and the transforming action of the medium-renewing care for the dialectical relationship between popular knowledge and systematized knowledge, a decisive factor in building the knowledge and culture.

The ultimate goal is to continue to the University achieving its institutional maturity, being a university human, community and regional - a university of all layers of the population of the region and not only those who formally attend the three universities.

Mission and Vision

Seeks the formation of citizens committed to regional development, with an overall perception of society on the political, social, economic and cultural, through education, research and extension.

Enhancement of human conscious, critical and committed himself and others.
Primacy of the common good over individual interests, in an essentially democratic spirit.
Transforming education in the dimensions of understanding and intervention in reality.
Pluralism of ideas and pedagogical concepts, guaranteeing freedom of teaching, research and outreach in all areas of knowledge.
Relationship between universal commitment and regional vocation of the institution.

Physical Structure

The headquarters campus URCAMP is installed in Bage, but the University includes in its coverage area seven other college campuses: Alegrete Cašapava South, Dom Pedrito, Itaqui, San Borja, San Gabriel and St. Anne's Deliverance. The total built-up area 73,825.94 m2. Plus the recently acquired area of the city of Cašapava southern reaches 4208.85 m2.
Pedagogical

The process of design, development, implementation and evaluation of educational proposals based on the belief that the pedagogical projects of programs URCAMP not constitute an integration process of epistemological concepts, policies and pedagogical elements in articulating the functions of teaching, research and extension (internal dimension), the responses to the social demands of college and career expectations of relevant (external dimension), being a factor of unity and coordination among the academic university campus; present engines of continuous innovation in measurement in which the formalization triggers renewed joint and individual proposals.

This proposal is based on the following common assumptions:

teaching is a process of personal development and social transformation propitious by dynamic curricula, training of professionals contributing to the revitalization of the regional culture and universal.
Research is an instrument of development and redevelopment of knowledge and rational intervention in reality, is also in line methodology (investigative dimension) that supports the pedagogical action, and strategy of institutional self-knowledge self-evaluation.
the extension is understood as an education process that combines cultural and scientific education and research, in an inseparable manner, enabling a transforming relationship between university and society.
Purpose
