The UNOPAR is an educational institution that for more than three decades of work in education, characterized as a center for reflection, studies, debates, research and analysis of reality, questioning what kind of work and of society that want to form.
Endowed with a growing infrastructure, the University of Northern Parana offers its students a modern proposal for Teaching, Research and Extension. Result of a conscious policy of the academic world today and the new needs of the labor market.
The main feature of UNOPAR, an institution founded in 1972 and for over 37 years helps to consolidate the city of Londonderry as a major university in the interior of Parana, is to be an institution-profile entrepreneur, concerned with the quality of teaching and of community life, and the future as one of its main focuses of action.
The foundation took place on February 17, 1972, when a group of businessmen, including the Chancellor and Dean Marco Antonio Laffranchi Elisabeth Bueno Laffranchi, met to create the Center for Studies in London, taking on and continuing the operation St. Paul's College, then maintained by a religious congregation.
This was the first step towards the creation of the Center for the Study of Northern Parana, responsible for implementation and maintenance of Physical Education Course, hosted by the Faculty of Physical Education from Northern Paraná - FEFI. This course is recognized by the federal government in February 1976.
From there, they started new investments. In 1985 he was deployed to
Faculty of Applied Sciences and Arts of Londrina in the Course of Art Education - Qualifications in Art and Design and later, in 1988, the Course of Industrial Design. In 1987 was established the Faculty of Rehabilitation of Northern Paraná with the Speech Therapy Course. In 1989 they created the Dental Schools of Northern Parana, Londrina School of Dance and School of Informatics of Parana, to deploying Dental Courses, Dance and Technology in Data Processing, respectively.
In 1990, aiming to streamline its administration, came the first attempt to unify these colleges. Met yet symbolically under the symbol "FEFI," were named Schools of Education and Training Integrated northern Paraná.
On June 2, 1992 the Federal Council of Education approved the unification under the title "International College of Northern Parana - UNOPAR," an important step towards the University.
In 1993 the UNOPAR absorbed the courses of two institutions headquartered in the city of Arapongas: Society and Education Center north of Paraná - SECENP, with courses in Mathematics, Chemistry, Social Sciences, Arts and Physical Education offered by the Faculty of Philosophy of Science and Letters of Arapongas - FAFICLA; and Educational Foundation Arapongas, with courses in Business Administration and Accounting, previously administered by the Faculty of Business Administration and Accounting from Arapongas - FAC.
The accreditation of UNOPAR as university gave up on 07.03.1997 by Federal Decree published in the Official Gazette No. 126 of 07.04.1997.
In 1999 he was created and installed the Center for Science and Technology - CCET, whose main objective is the development of high-tech programs, promoting research and extension in this area.
In 2001 it was inaugurated in Pr 445, Km 377, the new dependencies of the Center for Business and Social and Applied.
In 2002, is approved through Ordinance MEC No. 3052, the creation of the Campus in the city of Bandeirantes, starting its activities in 2003.
Since its accreditation to UNOPAR implemented an expansion plan, counting today, with several undergraduate courses and Sequential Specific Training, Courses in the Connected Presence Teaching System - Distance Mode, Academic and Professional Masters and Graduate courses broad sense.
The UNOPAR consists of three campuses (London, Arapongas and Bandeirantes) and the Centers for Distance Learning installed in several cities in different states of Brazil
• Campus University of London (Headquarters) adds the Center of Humanities, Education, Communication and Arts - CCEC, the Center for Life Sciences and Health - CCBS, the Center for Business and Social Sciences Applied - CCES and the Centre for Mathematical Sciences and Technology - CCET.
• The University Campus Arapongas offer several courses at the Center for Science, Humanities, Health, Technology and Exact - CCHSET - A.
• Campus Universitario de Bandeirantes, offer their courses at the Center for Science, Humanities, Health, Technology and Exact - CCHSET - B. |
