Purpose
The UNIPLAC through education, research and extension, should provide the human and technical-scientific citizen, intervening in the region with proposals and responses to regional sustainable development in economic, political, social, educational, cultural and environmental .
Objectives
Serve, with efficiency, and demands that it be made in education, through training of human resources development process of society, directly engaged in research projects and regional programs in operation, and also the operation of scheduled outreach to communities in the region.
Maintain its institutional role and place itself as a privileged mechanism of mediation and articulation between the public and other public and private institutions, research, science, technology and training resources.
Promote scientific and / or culture with national and international institutions.
Principle
The University establishes the principles that ensure the dignity and fundamental human rights, discrimination forbidden any philosophical, political, religious, racial, gender or class.
HISTORY
1959
It created the Santa Catarina Association for Culture - ACC, with the goal of keeping higher education establishments and Secondary Education - Technical Schools Trade.
1965
Starting in November, the Municipal Law No. 255, is created the Educational Foundation of Lages - FEL.
1966
Implantation occurs Course of Economics and Accounting, Faculty of Economics, Accounting, Administrative, Legal and Social Lages - facetiousness.
1970
The paths of growth are marked by the creation of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Lages - FACIP, with courses in Education, Arts and Social Sciences.
1973
In the context of the organization's Founding Catarinense System (ACAF), creates the foundation of the United Schools of Southern Brazil.
1990
Comes the need for changes in the structure of higher education.
1994
It is a decision to trigger the transformation process in UNIPLAC University.
1995
The Query Letter is filed with the State Board of Education.
1996
The UNIPLAC Launches Project of the University. 12/12/1996 settles into the Special Commission on Monitoring.
1998
Complementary Law No. 092/98 Municipal, is consolidated municipal legislation which imposed UNIPLAC Foundation. It also elaborates the new Statutes and Rules General.
1999
13:04 - are filed in the State Board of Education Reports and the Partial Final Report of the Special Committee for Monitoring the Process of Transformation of Colleges Nations University in Southern Brazil.
15:06 - By its resolution 31/99, the State Board of Education recognizes the University of Southern Brazil - UNIPLAC.
23:06 - The State Government also recognizes the University as UNIPLAC by Decree 312/99.
27.07 - The University of Southern Brazil is officially installed, thereby using all the prerogatives inherent to university status.
