On October 7, 1961 there were men and women representing various sectors of Santo Ângelo, gathered around a single ideal: to establish the first institution of higher education in the city.
The meeting was held at the headquarters of the municipal sector of the then National Campaign for Free Educandário (CNEG), on the street on October 3, 178. As stated in the Minutes No. 1: "Following an exchange of views, those present unanimously applauded the creation of the Law Faculty of St. Angelo." Among those who signed the first act was even the then governor of Rio Grande do Sul, Leonel Brizola. The first was director of Bayard Taylor Mercian.
And it was the ideal transformer of this group of people on October 7, 1961 the National Campaign for Community Schools - CNEC then founded the Law School of St. Angelo. Arose the institution which later would be recognized FADISA. He was offered the first course of higher education in the county. He was also the first college created and maintained by CNEC within the State of Rio Grande do Sul
For installation on FADISA then received an area of 17,424 meters square by the city of St. Angelo. The authorization for the operation occurred on April 3, 1963.
Over the years FADISA solidified and made history. It grew along with St. Angelo. In March 1998 authorized the operation of the Science Course Contábbeis and in June the same year, authorized the operation of the Course Directors at the time with specialization in International Business Management.
Although born in 1998 so the Institute of Higher Education Cenecista Sant'Angelo - IESA through Ordinance No. 1483, which approved the merger of the Faculties of Law, Accounting Sciences and Administration.
In May 2000, authorized the operation of the current Administration, with specialization in Business and Management Agribusiness and 2002 were authorized by the MEC courses Normale Superieure - Degree for Early Childhood Education and Higher Normal - Degree for Early Years, which then - in 2006 - was transformed into the current pedagogy courses.
17/12/2004 Back in the operation was authorized Course of Physical Therapy and 28/09/2006 MEC authorizing the operation of the Course of Biomedicine.
