On September 23, 1974, the Municipal Law No. 491 establishing the Educational Foundation Barriga Verde with a structure controlled by the Government. The leaders realized that was not adequate to provide the services that the region needed due to its dependence on the municipal leaders. Given this concern, we constructed a new proposal by the Law number 528 of 31 March 1977, representing an organization with operational autonomy in relation to municipal leaders, and as a heritage area of 20,000 square meters of land donated by the Institute and St. Joseph's Technical School of Commerce Orleans, consisting of books, furniture and machinery. After this structure consolidated the city also made grants of equity and two others were purchased with funds acquired by covenants of its work.
The scheme was established staffing of the Labor Code, as provided by the law that created, in Article 10. The relationship between the Foundation and the City have always been partnerships through agreements. It was never part of the Public Budget.
The leaders of the Foundation have always been appointed by the agencies that the heads, except the first President who was appointed by the mayor to give organization to the Board. The statute that governs the operation of the Foundation was established by Decree of the Mayor, submitted to prosecutors for review and approval, as well as other changes that occurred. The FEBAVE activities began administering the city schools. Developed important projects to improve the quality as "Project Integration, Culture and Education." Organized the PPAs offered and encouraged teachers to train and triggered a process of improving the buildings. He had great design as the unification of the educational systems of the City so he could expand the supply and graduation. Initiated child care for the needy with the implantation of a Center for Minors. This work was extended to communities of Brusque South Side of Union and Pindotiba
He kept offering vocational training courses until they start to offer other organs. Has established a school of professional woodworkers who graduated and specialized in specific areas. Developed important cultural projects such as the Open Air Museum, one of a kind in Latin America, the Sculptures of the Breakwater and created a Community Library. In the education sector, besides collaborating with the municipal school, had the technical courses in Accounting and Secretarial Services, created the GDE course of Grade I and II, providing opportunities for many people to improve education, created a school of Basic Education with a different pedagogical , who also met students from other municipalities, started its activities in Higher Education in 1998 with the course of Business Administration and currently offers Accounting, Education and Museum Studies. It is developing new projects in accordance with the interests of their region.
The FEBAVE brought to their region greater courage, as well as meet the needs of education, culture and social advancement, will also be established as a basis for social development. FEBAVE The basic principle is to demonstrate that education is the most important social product that we have to form a society in balance with all the senses. This year we are completing thirty years of operation. It is a period of existence it brings to the region's history great facts.
