Implementation and development of the institution
The Faculty Union of the Americas is the result of the idealism of its founders. With a sleek innovative design, both from the standpoint of the physical structure of the organization as its educational and academic structure, the institution presents a new approach to society in terms of higher education.
Foz do Iguacu in turn a higher education center of excellence and train highly qualified professionals that society needs is the main objective embraced by all those who work in the institution, leaders, faculty and staff. It is believed that the development of higher education can begin a new cycle and thus be a decisive factor for the development of the region, contributing to improving the quality of life.
Foz do Iguaçu is a city strategically situated on a geopolitical standpoint, is the scene of intense trade relations with potential for growth. It is a city that has a vocation to become a major commercial hubs in the country, given its unique geographical location that offers great opportunities for businesses focused on services and trade in particular, activities related to leisure and tourism.
In this dynamic context, the Faculty Union of the Americas is installed, and offering to train professionals in various fields of knowledge seeking to respond to the demands and challenges posed by society at this historical moment characterized by major changes in that men pose for other new requirements.
The Faculty Union of the Americas was created by the maintainer Educational Center of the Americas Inc. and accredited by the Ministerial Decree No. 949 of May 17, 2001, with headquarters in the city of Foz do Iguacu, Parana.
The Faculty Union of the Americas was inaugurated on 12 July 2001 and started its academic activities on August 13, 2001, with the installation of the following courses: Marketing Management Administration - Day and Night; Administration Finance Management; Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Life Sciences.
Due to the position and commitment to the population of the city of Foz do Iguacu, leaders marked their presence and guided his actions to match the desires and needs of that community.
As a result of this process at work and concrete action, by degrees, UNIAMÉRICA created new courses: Physical Education, History, Nutrition, Environmental Engineering, Biomedicine, Social Service, the Executive Secretary and trilingual Normale Superieure in 2002 and Geography and Psychology in 2003.
Currently the institution offers 16 undergraduate courses in the morning shift, full and night, for a total of 171 teachers, 92 administrative personnel and 48 support areas, giving a total of 311 employees to 2,673 students.
The Uniamérica develops, annually, in addition to undergraduate activities in daytime and nighttime, outreach programs in local and surrounding community, and specific actions to enable the insertion of the young to higher education.
From 2007 the College began offering courses in the form of Graduate Lato sensu.
The Faculty Union of the Americas is an exemplary demonstration of the ability of union and community achievement of Foz do Iguacu. With a sleek design and innovative in terms of academic and pedagogical, as well as its physical structure, the School presents a proposal to the regional innovator in higher education.
Transforming Foz do Iguacu in a Higher Education Centre of Excellence and train highly skilled professionals is the idea that drives all those working in the institution, leaders, faculty and staff. We believe that the development of Higher Education may be the decisive factor for leveraging development of the city and region.
Today the Faculty Union of the Americas has in operation 14 undergraduate courses, six of them in health. Brought careers not previously in the city and some even in the region, such as Biomedicine and Environmental Engineering.
The Uniamérica is a new opportunity. It is a school under construction. It is the opportunity of present and future.
