The Faculty of Serra Gaucha - FSG is recognized by the Community and Caxiense region for quality printing in their teaching, research and extension as an educational process.
Today, the FSG is located in The Eighteenth Street Fort, 2366, occupying the former premises of the Company Winery Riograndense Ltda, Centro de Caxias do Sul The renovation project of the building to house the FSG has not lost sight of the story Caxias community, printed in the old building of the winery. The external structure was preserved, while, internally, were designed functional environments for the activities undertaken by students, professors and college administrators.
In a total area of 14,048 meters square, the complex comprises three buildings houses academic and administrative areas of the Faculty, sufficient and appropriate to the institutional development of the proposal. These spaces are classrooms, computer labs, anatomy and histology and microscopy, Integrated Health Clinic, pedagogical space where it articulates the relationship between theory and practice regarding the courses in the areas of health. You still spaces for neurobiopsicossociais evaluations, neuromuscular training, swimming pools, multi-sport, auditorium, library, living spaces and central photocopying and printing.

Proposals and Innovative Self-Sustainable
The FSG was authorized on December 16, 1999, for operation of graduate programs in business administration.
Since 2001, responsive to the needs of educational level, the FSG, in outlining the policies and guidelines for teaching, research and extension, clarifies its understanding as an integrative concept of teaching in higher education, considering it from a world that changed forever, and whose changes cause disruptions and innovations in the acts of teaching and modes of learning. Aligns innovative proposals, focusing on the convergence between their offerings to market needs and possibilities of development.
Currently, FSG offers undergraduate courses: Business Administration, with Line Training: Systems Analysis, International Trade, Finance, Business Management, Marketing, Production and Human Resources, Architecture and Urbanism; Biomedicine; Accounting; Design, with Lines of Education: Product Design and Graphic Design; law; Physical Education - Bachelor of Health and Physical Activity; Physical Education - Degree, Nursing, Civil Engineering, Production Engineering, Physiotherapy and Psychology. Moreover, it offers graduate courses and extension in the areas of Business, Education, Health and Legal Sciences.
The FSG continues his walk, embracing diversity and responsive to contemporary requirements, from principles that focus on the student as best asset; quality as permanent search, ethics, such as posture, citizenship, and social commitment, agility, as dynamic action; teamwork, as standard practice, sustainability as a way of growth, freedom, as an expression, inclusion, and respect for diversity, and life, as a greater good.

For consolidation of Vision and Mission of the FSG firm positioning in the context of higher education, with the scope of the concept of teaching prospective whose support base is defined by national policies, society and the market.
The educational proposal of the Faculty of Serra Gaucha is guided by the Integrated Education, which is defined as the articulation of teaching, research and extension from investigative processes-active. Under this proposal, the process of action-reflection-action-reflection is promoted from the teaching.
The various pedagogical spaces, connected to the social and professional performance, they provide the observatory field in which the questioning of reality shown here allows the discussion of the theme and content of training from the perspective of practice, promoting the construction and production of knowledge praxis fed into the world of life and work.
This means that the institution structure the pedagogical work in a different way, with programs, projects and innovative tools that facilitate the actions, both coordinators and executors.
Thus, the Integrated Education supports integrative institutional backing the acquisition of skills and competencies for the training of students, qualification of teachers for the development of pedagogical institutions, the managers of undergraduate courses in the implementation of educational projects the courses and the institution in the licensing, recognition of degrees; institutional reaccreditation and the development of new institutional frameworks, and the Standing Committee of Evaluation in all dimensions shown in the design of institutional assessment.
