The Faculty Novafapi emerged as private higher education institution, accredited by the Ministerial Decree No. 1592/2000, which authorizes the HEI to offer higher learning in health, humanities and technology.
As a private institution of higher education, held by Society of Higher Education and Technological Piauí Ltd., with headquarters in the city of Teresina, Piauí State, located at Rua Vitorino Orthiges Fernandes, 6123 - District of Uruguay, the city of Teresina, Piauí State, governed by its charter, the law of higher education and the Statute of the Entity Maintainer having as objectives in the areas of the courses he teaches:
I - the training of professionals and specialists at tertiary level;
II - to conduct research and encouragement of creative activity;
III - extension of education and research community through programs and services.
In exercising its functions, the Faculty Novafapi ensures the freedom of study and research, remaining open to all currents of thought, without involvement in movements or ideological groups, partisan political, religious or racial.
The Novafapi mission is "To educate citizens ethical, technically competent and politically responsible, contributing to improving the quality of life and sustainable development of the state of Piaui and region."
A faculty serving in an active and integrated with society in various areas of knowledge, strongly influencing the improvement of quality of life and sustainable development of the State of Piauí and the region.
Principles and Values
Novafapi College, committed to the ethical training of professionals, technically competent and politically responsible for that can positively influence the development of the region is governed by the following principles:
full exercise of citizenship;
human rights;
freedom in education and ethical development of the research;
freedom in the dissemination of culture, art and knowledge;
plurality of ideas and pedagogical assumptions;
equal access to cultural goods and services to the community;
preservation of the environment and its sustainable development;
active participation in the process of socio-economic, artistic, cultural, scientific and technological state and region.

Novafapi College as an institution forming multidisciplinary professional staff with higher education, aims to promote the common good for the development of science, literature and the arts, dissemination and preservation of culture and the area of human knowledge and culture in their several areas.
The objectives of Novafapi:
a) encourage the creation and development of cultural and scientific spirit of reflective thinking, providing educational conditions to man as subject and agent of their educational process and its history, the cultivation of knowledge, in its different aspects, forms and methods;
b) train human values in different areas of knowledge, qualified for inclusion in the professional sectors and the participation in the development of Brazilian society;
c) encourage and support the initiation and scientific research, aiming at the development of science and technology and the creation and dissemination of culture;
d) promote the dissemination of cultural, scientific and technical make up the patrimony of humanity and to communicate knowledge through teaching, publications or other forms of communication;
e) desire to constantly raise the cultural and professional improvement and enable the corresponding implementation, integrating the knowledge that is being acquired in an intellectual framework and systematizing knowledge of each generation;
f) foster the knowledge of this world's problems, particularly national and regional authorities, providing specialized services to this community and to establish a reciprocal relationship;
g) promote the extension, open to participation of the population, aiming at the dissemination of the achievements and benefits of cultural creation and scientific research and technology generated in Novafapi;
h) to preserve the ethical, moral, civic and religious leaders, contributing to improving society, the search for balance and human welfare;
i) Contribute to the development of all intellectual faculties, physical and spiritual man, and
j) contribute to sustainable socioeconomic development and the state of Piaui region.
