History and Mission
Founded in 2000 by its sponsor the Foundation School of Public Management - FUGESP, the Latin American Faculty of Education - flated, began operations in 2001 with the first entrance exam for the Faculty of Education. Activities started at its headquarters at Av Emperor, 1460 - Centro - Fortaleza.
In 2002 he requested permission for the courses in Management and Tourism. The two courses, approved by the MEC, were offered in early 2003, inaugurating the Aldeota Unit, located at Rua Senador Virgilio Tavora, 617.
In early 2004 the College joined the two addresses into a single headquarters at Rua Dona Leopoldina, 907 - Centre and asked for recognition of the Faculty of Education, teaching and pedagogy in the early grades, school management, the first being coordinated by the Institute Education, a unit of flated governed by its rules and regulations.
In 2005, flated Launches Post-Graduate broadly in Participatory Planning. In 2006, through Ordinance SESU 363, the flated obtained recognition of the Pedagogy Course and in January 2007 calling for the recognition of courses Administration and Tourism and received commissions for assessment of MEC 19 to 24 November 2007.
The Latin American Faculty through the credibility and quality of teaching has as its mission "to develop in higher education committed to a collective construction of your own space and academic knowledge, linking science, technology, art and the diverse cultural knowledge"
FUGESP / flated - LITERACY PARTNERSHIP
The Foundation School of Public Management-FUGESP is a legal entity under private law, non-profit, with administrative and financial autonomy, recognized as a public utility, as of Pacatuba Municipal Law No 571/97, November 1997 and registered National Council for Social Assistance - CNAS, according to Resolution No 223 of 23.08.1999, published in the Official Gazette on 08.27.1999.
Since 1999 the Foundation School of Public Management - FUGESP participates in the Solidarity in Literacy Program, developing a capacity-building work with educators in the counties of Ceará State. The FUGESP initially followed 70 rooms distributed in 07 Literacy different counties within that state and 01 county in the state of Amazonas. From the year 2000, the participation of FUGESP the program was expanded, starting its activities, also in the states of Maranhao, Pernambuco, Paraiba, Alagoas, Bahia, Goiás, Piauí and Rio Grande do Norte. During this course of education in literacy collaborated FUGESP 46,750 youth and adults along with 1,803 teachers.
The Latin American Faculty of Education - flated, where he served as a partner in the program, considering that members of its student body were the main actors in the field. This partnership has provided not only the exchange of knowledge and services between the School and Community, but allowed the students of pedagogical experiences flated, especially the students of the Faculty of Education, paying them and encourage them in continuing their education.
Infrastructure
The Latin American Faculty of Education - flated is located at Rua D. Leopoldina, 907 - Centro, Fortaleza.
The Faculty is located in a central area with great public transport supply. The School campus consists of three blocks with three floors each, an atrium, an indoor gym and a parking area.
The flated has large, airy classrooms, access for people with reduced mobility, teaching laboratories, modern computer lab, canteen, recreation area, gardens, updated library, gymnasium poly-sports and all educational and administrative area.
