The College Valley Jaguaribe is an isolated higher education privately, and offers five undergraduate Tourism recognized by Ordinance: 1134 Published in the Official Gazette 26/12 / 2006, Directors agreed, with Decree n 2318 of 30 / 06/2005 Published in the Official Gazette 04/07/2005, Education recognized with Decree 565 of 12/03/2004 Published in Official Gazette 16/03/2004 and Letters recognized with Decree 566 of 12/03/2004 Published in Official Gazette 16/03/2004 and Nursing Empowered with Ordinance No. 576 of 26/06/2007 Published in the Official Gazette of 27/06/2007 all courses with hours of operation during the night.

The College Valley Jaguaribe aims at training professionals, with the instrumentation necessary to define the knowledge that professional identity, ie, knowledge of the contents of the training, how to think their practice in light of theory and basically know how to intervene.

Thus said, the College Valley Jaguaribe - FVJ - Institution maintained by the Union of Education and Culture Valley Jaguaribe Ltda. - UNIJAGUARIBE - aims to promote education and develop research and extension for the training of skilled professionals to produce knowledge, supporting himself in a critical and reflective attitude and ethics.

In this sense, educational activities FVJ can be understood in a perspective of integral human growth, based on technical fundamentals and humanistic understanding of man / professional, as a rational agent of change and the reality, ie autonomy; indissociability teaching, research and extension, formation of ethical conduct, and ongoing evaluation.

Autonomy - sustained on the principle of consistency, both between the graduation and the educational system and between undergraduate and sectors of economic reality. By fulfilling a significant role in socio-cultural context in which it is located, acting as agent for the dissemination of scientific knowledge, committed to the interests of the region and society in general, the FVJ assumes the principle of university autonomy, which will allows to develop with the academic community spaces, free thinking, criticize and propose alternatives of referrals of studies, discussions and / or proposals for intervention in reality they are inserted.

This autonomy, which guarantees academic freedom, rests on the consistency, both between graduation and the educational system, achieving the kindergarten, elementary and middle, or between undergraduate and sectors of economic reality related to the courses developed in the College Valley Jaguaribe - FVJ.

Thus, ensuring the theoretical frameworks that allow direct actions in multiple directions, providing tools for the professionals to work properly and criticism against the diversity and dynamics of the situations inherent to the profession.

Connection between teaching, research and extension - made possible by the use of dialogue and an interdisciplinary curriculum that integrates scientific knowledge and social practices.

In view of indivisibility of all academic activities of the institution, is an emerging practice of interdisciplinary dialogue around issues and investigations that meet the real needs of society and a curriculum that integrates the scientific knowledge to practical and social facts.

In this vision of all training professional, FVJ undertake activities that promote knowledge building and learning to think, to search for more elaborate and scientific and socialization and applying this knowledge to the environment, thus fulfilling its social commitment.

Ongoing evaluation - the assumptions and paradigms that guide the actions of the College Valley Jaguaribe - FVJ. The dynamics of knowledge and technology that characterizes the relations of man in modern society, requires that institutions of higher education are in constant process of renewal, which implies the existence of permanent diagnosis, with a view to rescheduling of goals and action strategies.

Given this, the FVJ provides the ongoing assessment as a condition for achieving improvement in the quality of teaching and fulfilling their social role.

Thus, for the College Valley Jaguaribe - FVJ - fulfilling its social commitment adopts a process of constant evaluation, around about the performance indicators relevant to the purposes for which the institution intends.


The College Valley Jaguaribe - FVJ - mission is to provide education and develop research and extension, aimed at training qualified professionals to produce and implement the knowledge and which, fostered a critical attitude and ethics, will act as citizens capable contribute to the development of society.
