Historical development and deployment of the Institution

The Faculty of Technology Piauí - FATEPI is to sponsor the Magister Higher Education Group Ltd - GMESL, Society for Commercial A limited liability, located on the 1st of May Street, No. 2235 / N, in Teresina, Piauí.
Private institution of higher education offered in the year 2001, a course to the community, working the night shift in the area of Information Systems. In 2006, another course offered in day and night shifts in the area of law.

The FATEPI proposes to subsidize the improvement of teaching quality in the state of Piaui major duty for the purpose of training professionals from various fields of knowledge. With the development of undergraduate courses, the FATEPI also diagnosed a shortage in training at postgraduate level. Given this demand, was implemented in 2003, the course graduate Lato sensu, in the form of expertise in the area of Computer Networks and Content and Methodology of Teaching Mathematics.

Since the beginning of its activities, the Faculty has in front of your entire educational process the maintainer of the institution, Professor Raimundo Rodrigues de Sousa, who has worked since 1970 in the area of education in the state Piauí. Magister Education Group has built a solid reputation in the educational context in Piaui. We decided from the outset, implementing a project committed to developing the local community.

The IES, to start its academic activities in 2001 semestrede first established as a mission to train professionals in higher education based on theoretical and practical able to act in the labor market in a responsible manner so as to provide quality services to the community.

To provide a solid education, the IES organizes scholarly meetings and weeks of basic scientific research. In 2008, was the 8th edition of the Academic Meeting and the 4th edition of the Undergraduate Research Week. Besides these, it also offers extension courses implemented every six months, both intra and extra-institutional. In the sporting dimension, the School develops the semester sports tournament. All activities are included in the academic calendar of the HEI.

The Faculty of Technology Piauí - FATEPI is an institution of higher education formed around the experience of professionals involved with the project of creation of HEI, they already have experience in educational activities at different levels: primary, secondary and higher education.

With a view to its expansion, the Faculty of Technology Piauí - FATEPI widen its physical structure to provide better conditions for the development of academic activities.

From this perspective, FATEPI in 2006 spurred the creation of various programs and projects, aiming to boost the interactive relationships in teaching, research and extension, they are:

Monitoring Programme;
Student Support Program;
Scientific Initiation Program;
Assistance Program psychopedagogical - FATEPI;
Project Tracking Egress;
Teacher Qualification Program;
Technical Qualification Program Administration;
Social Responsibility Program;
Placement Program.


Considering the global environment and socio-political-Brazilian culture, the FATEPI seeks to develop a proposal in light of the humanistic principles of ethics, citizenship, justice and morality. In this perspective, the Bank defines as its mission: To train professionals in higher education based on theoretical and practical able to act in the labor market in a responsible manner so as to provide quality services to the community.
It also intends to develop actions aimed at the integration of teaching, research and extension, as signaling a higher quality, able to meet the needs of the community, with regard to computer science and law and others that will be deployed within of a real prospect for the formation of citizens with scientific and humanistic vision and, above all, willing to challenges in meeting social needs.

1.1 Objectives and Goals of the Institution

· Encourage cultural production and scientific attitudes of developing critical thinking, research, focused on empirical research;

· Delivered higher education and qualified people for professional practice in various areas based on ethical and moral principles;

Develop teaching, research and extension contribute to the development of science and technology, with emphasis on local and regional development.

Socializing the knowledge developed ·, ministering to you through the various mechanisms of communication;

• Promote the development and transfer of social technologies, notably aimed at preserving the environment;

· Build the attitude of individual autonomy, socially responsible, based on the pursuit of continuing education;

· Contribute to analytical reading of the local reality, constituting the element of research and social action;

• pay services to the community approaching the gym everyday reality.
