Christus College believes that its primary mission is to promote a training of the individual, allowing their training for professional practice. Therefore, the Faculty Christus demand within the student body to encourage a taste for study and generate interest in a need for continuous learning, development of a society that is based on respect for human dignity and promoting justice.
In addition, the Faculty Christus offers several complementary activities, have library with a collection that includes more than 41,000 records, cultural area with arts and cultural activities undertaken both by the academic community and by local artists, offers opportunities for internship monitored for their students, extension courses, among other actions.
Since its establishment, the Faculty Christus has been fulfilling its mission through the priority given to quality education, delivered in their seven courses, combining the training of professionals with knowledge and culture to life.
To maintain its various courses, the College has three Christus headquarters with modern infrastructure and fully equipped with the highest standard: the Campus Don Luis, the Ecological Park Campus and Campus Torrre Dionysus.
Built in 1995, the Christus College was born of a dream of expansion. With a solid foundation in education gained over almost 60 years of Christus High-School, the college was gradually gaining a position of high respect in Fortaleza. Working in the areas of Management, Law, Health & Education / Multi-disciplinary approach, the Christus College offers 7 undergraduate courses: Administration, Accounting, Law, Physiotherapy, Medicine, Education and Information Systems , plus 17 postgraduate courses in broad form sense, all recognized by the Ministry of Education.
With qualified teaching staff, consisting of professional experts, masters and doctors of eminence in their respective fields, this institution is an example of excellence in higher education of quality, focusing on training plural and globalized academic formation based upon ethical principles and citizenship. Three modern, well equipped branches: Dionísio Torres, Dom Luis and Ecological Park - home to the vast infrastructure of the College, amidst laboratories, auditoriums, libraries, theater, a sports center and a cultural space.
In order to offer all the necessary pedagogical support, students have the resources to academic practice. Clinics-School courses in Medicine and Physiology, the Center for Legal Practice for the Law course, and the Center for Entrepreneurial Practice for courses in Administration, Accounting and Information Systems, offer the experience of methods, attitudes and procedures adopted in the labor market. The qualifications of the teaching and encouragement to research and extension are tools that help in the generation and transmission of knowledge broadly. In addition, the institution also has an Ethics Committee and Research, which assesses and monitors the ethical aspects of all work done by students and teachers, ensuring quality to the research procedures.
Another important mechanism of action within the Faculty is the Human Rights Office established to promote and protect fundamental human rights, through promoting the study and production of knowledge to the subject. Covenants and agreements of cooperation with renowned educational institutions around the world provide the broad experience of the student, not only in classrooms but also in social practice of the profession. Be at Harvard University in the United States, or the University of Amiens, in France, students develop skills and competencies crucial for future professional.
The commitment to social welfare is one of the principles underlying the design and pedagogical mission of the Faculty Christus. Through humanistic vision, students are encouraged to volunteer, environmental awareness, recognition and support for arts and culture and the regional social development. Academic policies, extension, relationship with society and citizen action training make for a complete and differentiated educational.
