The FABAC - Faculty of Sciences of Bahia, an institution of higher education that form the Group Be Educational, born in 1998. Fabaceae, as well as other teaching units of the Group are committed to sustainable development and growth with the objective of educate citizens and competent professionals and committed to the regional and national development.
The School offers students in its undergraduate, law school in the morning and afternoon shifts, and graduate courses in Public Law, Business Management, Public Management, Environmental Management and Human Resources Management. The infrastructure unit is equipped with 16 classrooms, computer laboratories and library, elevators, canteen and office.
HISTORY
Bahia is the culturally rich state, strong in African traditions, gifts in music, food and religion. The population of Bahia has roots planted in the contribution inherited by African slaves. High tourism potential, state of Bahia is home to the Chapada Diamantina, Reconcavo and natural beauty without size. In economics, the GDP has more than 90 billion dollars and stands as the largest producer of cocoa. These and many other riches feed the dreams of thousands who dream of Bahia grow, produce and contribute to the evolution of their state.
In the popular imagination, the dreams always seem to separated from the reality that constitutes the day-to-day humanity. However, all who believe in God ahead of you throw themselves to their ideals and, as we formulate the solid foundations of their own destinies and reach the light of earlier triumph, the unmistakable glow of what it means to achieving every dream.
It was this dimension which initially idealized Be Educational Group as a permanent source of culture, knowledge and work. This story, which had its beginnings in 1994, was inspired by our desire to recover as soon as the heroic structure that recorded in golden letters the courage and greatness of the great revolutionary figures of the law, justice and culture.
Since then, with the initial aim of preparing candidates for public tenders, is born a specific course, even in a cramped space, which sought to awaken in each student the radiant light of their own collective knowledge and are able to distinguish between them in complexity and demand the professional world today. Later comes the first college of the Group, in Recife, with the aim of preparing young people for the triumph and success, which will launch a new world: the world of constant change.
With the publication in the Official Gazette of Ordinance 1109, the MEC, was officially the first institution of higher education, be maintained by the Education Group. The institution's mission is to educate citizens competent, qualified and prepared for the labor market, imbued with social responsibility and committed to the preservation of national culture and the socio-cultural development of Brazil.
The decision to create the first institution of the group came from a dreamer, engaged in developing a design quality higher education. Our group has established itself as a university educational institutions that more grows in Brazil, with campuses in seven cities in the Northeast.
He is born to offer its students, faculty and staff the opportunity of full development with the aim of:
stimulate the creation and development of cultural and scientific spirit of reflective thinking; train human resources in the areas of knowledge in which to act, ready for insertion in the professional sectors and to participate in the development of Brazilian society, promoting actions for their continuing education; Encourage investigative practices, aimed at developing science and technology, creation and dissemination of culture and understanding of man and the environment they live in; promote the spread of cultural, scientific and technical make up the patrimony of humanity and to communicate knowledge through teaching, publications or other communication standards; arouse the desire to constantly improve cultural and professional achievement and enable the matching, integrating the knowledge that is being acquired in an intellectual framework and systematizing knowledge of each generation; stimulate awareness of the problems of the globalized world, while simultaneously providing specialized services to this community and to establish a reciprocal relationship; promote the extension, open to participation of the population in order to disseminate the achievements and benefits of cultural creation and investigative practices generated in the institution.
The Fabaceae comes with a strong commitment to national integration. In all its undergraduate courses and in their courses and graduate programs, academic space will be in the form of complementary activities, seminars, symposia and similar events for the development of studies and research on the roots of the Northeast and Brazil, historic figures, people, finally, since this is certainly the greatest asset of a people.
On the other hand, gathered his team of officers (directors and coordinating body of courses) and teachers selected to deploy the undergraduate courses with the following general guidelines:
teaching methodologies that promote the development of skills and abilities required in the formation of the student and his training to work in different fields of higher education; lesson plans that foster integration, simultaneously, between theory and practice; formative evaluation and continuous learning, minimizing the quantitative assessments focused on the accumulation of information merely theoretical-doctrinal; the students as the center of the educational process through assistance and attendance at all times of his academic life, with the supply of quality teaching, supported by a corps of qualified teachers and methodological resources, bibliographic and appropriate technology; organizational system that respects the individuality and harmonize the academic interaction at all levels and categories; integration of the student to the social community through programs and activities of scientific initiation and extension in partnership with organizations, companies and governmental institutions or individuals, and institutional agreements to facilitate the exchange of experiences and information between the academic community of the Fabaceae, the local community and regional organizations in Brazil and overseas.
Finally, it should be noted that the Fabaceae aims, in his travels:
professional training, courses and graduate programs, to carry out specific activities, especially for teaching in higher education; develop programs for undergraduate research and extension; participate in the process of preserving the memory region's cultural and socio-economic development of the Northeast and Brazil; maintain exchanges with similar institutions, national or foreign, and providing quality services in all areas in which to act.
