AGES COLLEGE, a pioneer in the region as an institution of higher education authorized by Ministerial Decree No. 347/2001, published in the Official Gazette of 02.26.2001, situated in the municipality of Paripiranga, Bahia State, approximately 360 km Salvador and 110 km from Aracaju, capital of Sergipe. Its campus, located on University Avenue, No. 23, Parque das Palmeiras, comprises an area of 23000m ˛ in built facilities in the most rigorous quality standards required by the MEC. Three modules are modern and cozy with multimedia projection auditoriums, laboratories, academic convenience center and bookstore, as well as the dependencies common to higher education entities.
The AGES is a legal institution of private law. The quality of services offered in kindergarten, elementary school and high school AGES by the College for over 25 years, has accredited its leaders, especially its founder, Professor. José Wilson dos Santos, to gain permission to run the courses in Administration, Accounting, Physical Education, Nursing, Arts, Education and Psychology, as well as postgraduate courses.

Its campus, located in Parque das Palmeiras, 23 - Rodovia BA 220, comprises an area of 23,000 m˛ in facilities built in the most rigorous quality standards required by the MEC. The quality of services offered in kindergarten, elementary school and high school, the College AGES, has accredited its leaders, especially its founder, Professor. José Wilson dos Santos, to gain permission to run the courses of Administration, Physical Education, Nursing, Accounting, Law, Literature, Pedagogy and Psychology, as well as graduate.
At first, the building functioned Degree College AGES, located at Rua Student, 88. On September 20, 2002, after months of work, aiming to offer better terms to students, opened the Campus School, located in Parque das Palmeiras, space history before cultivated by traditional families of coffee plantation in the municipality of Paripiranga.
Since its founding, AGES is concerned with open pathways to knowledge through courses updated, indispensable to the requirements of the job market today to include over 30 municipalities prepared in the northeastern Bahia and Sergipe in the south-central.
Following the patterns of professional ethics, its main commitment is to give humans a better quality of life, that evaluates some of the principles of the institution.
Power outlet and youth, the College is not intimidated AGES to new technologies and ideas to the forefront, gives the example in the exercise of competence and professional skills essential to the contemporary academic world. With the conquest of the national rankings ENADE, AGES already has among the largest institutions in the country of reference.
AGES ONE SUCCESS STORY
To understand the significance of AGES, one must go back in time, precisely in 1982, when it all started with the enrollment of students in the Children's Recreation Club on May 23. With time, the number of students has multiplied, until there was a need to gradually increase the number of vacancies in the courses offered, namely, kindergarten, elementary and secondary schools, consolidating, so the first project of the Youth Association for Social Integration, based in Paripiranga - BA, whose goal at first was to streamline community actions aimed at social development.
The AJIS represented, then an ideal of change in the municipality, and its principal leader, despite all the mishaps, had maintained its clear objective, implementing significant and unique action in the community. The humble young man, in this context, but never let the shortage in all aspects overshadow the dream of transforming the human being through the most fundamental mechanism: Education.
The dream germinated giving flavorful fruit, gradually, as investments were applied to guarantee everyone a quality education. The jump was not only quantitative but especially qualitative, given the ideal futurist and entrepreneur Joseph Wilson. Thus, the hope, soaked by the purest sentiments, took shape, size and embodied themselves.
As you can see, the embryo grew AJIS motivated and became AGES. But what does this name that bears the mark of success? The "J" turned into "G" without losing its primary missions are and reflects linguistically the meaning of the verb ACT, united in the second person singular present indicative. Therefore, the meaning matched perfectly with the theme, icon of the mission institution of primary, secondary and higher education. ACT, therefore, requires action, movement, expression, to the point of the logo outline the desire to train and prepare this generation for the world, following different directions. The triangles indicate different paths available and the globe, typifies the world, whose worldview must be a constant.
Thus, the arduous path already traversed contribute to a part of history AGES Educational Enterprises, a national benchmark in quality basic education and upper projection for global recognition.
Having as its basic premise the idea that every institution of higher education should be oriented to individual development and the region in which it operates, the Faculty AGES imposes this mission considering that education in higher education have the responsibility to train individuals capable of analyzing participatory and reflect on their role in society and thus provide a solution to minimize the social and educational problems of their region.
AGES The Faculty aims at constructing new knowledge to the development of the northeast of Bahia and Sergipe in the south-central and improving the quality of life of people and train competent professionals in education, health, law, accounting and administration, assuming that it is through education that promotes better quality of life and contributes to the development of the region and country.
The AGES believes that education is the only way to solve social problems, since as individuals to participate as subjects transformers of their environment, agents of the development process and multipliers of knowledge.
This is the mission of the College undertakes AGES: that of promoting the development of the region and improving the quality of life through education.
The Faculty AGES, to achieve the mission to which it proposes, adopts the following principles:
• connection between teaching, research and extension: the Faculty AGES believes the process of constructing knowledge necessarily involves education, but not limited to it, since this procedure should be of solid construction by examining the theories and their relationship with facts of reality, which involves research, but beyond teaching and research, we also need the knowledge produced extrapolate out of the institution and being present in projects targeted for the community through extension.
• Quality of education: the school AGES, as a reference institution, considers it necessary to offer quality in their services, which involves establishing an ongoing program of institutional assessment, noting:
a) the material resources necessary for its operation;
b) the infrastructure of care to the courses offered;
c) analysis of the performance of its professionals, teachers and staff;
d) the participation of students.
In addition, the Faculty AGES is available to institutional proposal for an evaluation by the competent bodies.
• Promotion of knowledge: AGES College believes that an institution of higher education should have the maximum principle for its promotion. So, considering that we need to promote universal access to higher education, we ensure that, through him, the individual comes into contact with the production of knowledge and learning to reflect on the theories, positioning itself critically about them.
• Development of the region in which it is located: at the data and searched on Paripiranga region, which saw the poor training of professionals, especially in the areas of education, bookkeeping, health, justice and administration, the Faculty AGES argues that the internalization of Higher education contributes decisively to the transformation of the region, as it should meet social needs by offering courses that promote the training of skilled individuals who will serve this region, elevating their educational partner.
