The Federal Center for Technological Education of Sergipe is an agency linked to the Bureau of Educational Media and Technology Ministry of Education - MEC. The institution is originated from the School of Apprentices and Artisans created across the country.
1909 - President Nilo Pecanha, through Decree No. 7566 of September 23 throughout the country creates the Schools of Learning and Crafters, for the free primary vocational education under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture, Trade and Industry;
1937 - The Schools of Learning are to be called the Lyceum. In Sergipe, now renamed the Lycée INDUSTRIAL ARACAJU;
1942 - Begins to be called the Industrial School of Aracaju with the enactment of the Organic Law of Industrial Education;
1959 - By Act No. 3552 of 16/02/59, the School became a federal independent agency, acquiring didactic autonomy, financial, administrative and technical conquering also the equivalence with the school. At that time the school shall have regular courses as the secondary school and the Technical Course, in addition to offering courses or special professional initiation.
1962 - Operation of Buildings course, followed the course of Roads, Electromechanical, Electrical and Machinery and Engines.
1965 - Instruction No. 239 of 03/09/65 sets the name and qualifications of the Federal Technical Schools, going to our school and be called Federal Technical School of Sergipe.
1994 - Authorization for operation of the Teaching Unit Decentralized Lizard - UNED, by decree No. 489 of 06.04.1994, with courses in Building and Electromechanical.
1998 - The School will offer courses separately from the Technical High School in the LDB is based on Decree No. 2208/97.
2002 - Decree 13 November 2002 transformed the school into the Federal Center for Technological Education of Sergipe.
