The Center for Higher Education in Campo Grande (CESUP) was established in 1974, becoming the product of the evolution of a set of traditional educational institutions and educators idealistic initiative of the State, with the goal of integrating experiences, ideals and heritage, to meet the aspirations and needs of the population of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul
The CESUP since then has had significant progress in developing its education project, creating, in 1974, the Center for Higher Education Professor Pliny Mendes dos Santos, offering undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting research and extension projects triggering.
Besides, increased its update beyond the limits where its seat is installed, creating in 1989 a plant in Rio Verde de Mato Grosso (MS) to meet the demand for higher education in that region and its area of influence.
As a result of their own development, in 1990, CESUP then asked the Federal Board of Education approval for the transformation of the Centre for Higher Education Professor Pliny Mendes dos Santos at the University for Development of State and the Pantanal Region (Uniderp).
This request received approval of the consultation Opinion Letter No. 43/91 - CFE, of December 20, 1991, and the Project of the University, by Opinion No. 126/92 - CFE, approved by the Ministry of Education on July 2, 1992 . The recognition of the institution by the current National Council of Education was given by Opinion No. 153/96 of 2 December 1996, approved by Presidential Decree of 18 December 1996.
In 2008 with the publication of Ordinance No. 879 SESu on November 18, 2008, the Uniderp renamed itself University Anhanguera-Uniderp. Moreover, now has Anhanguera Educacional SA as its sponsor entity, through Decree No. 1.620/09 SESu, published in the Official Gazette on November 16, 2009.
The University Anhanguera - Uniderp, located in Mato Grosso do Sul, has the primary mission to integrate scientific, technical and institutional efforts philosophically public and / or private bodies for sustainable regional development. Thus, while answering to all the areas of universal knowledge, mind, particularly of Brazilian regional themes, namely: Environment, Planning and Administrative Management, Ecotourism, Regional Integration, Software Development and Deployment Services Sanitation Program and Public Health Education Programs including Distance Education, Information Technology Programs, among others.
According to its Statute, the University Anhanguera-Uniderp aims to:
promote the formation of man, according to the principles of freedom and responsibility;
promote, through its teaching, research and extension, the integrated and harmonious development of their local and regional levels, aimed at social welfare, economic, political and spiritual;
deliver higher education in all fields of human knowledge;
promote scientific research and cultural development;
extend services to society are inseparable to teaching and research;
promote the assimilation of cultural values, develop critical thinking and disseminate knowledge by all means available to the University;
participate in the development effort of the country, linking up with the authorities and society, to study national and regional problems;
participate in solving community problems through cultural, technical assistance and services as they meet the teaching and research;
promote a cultural events that aim to integrate the Community-University;
be an open institution to community, freedom and democracy, and a center for the preservation of knowledge, culture and history of Man;
develop activities in the field of environmental sciences, particularly to promote economic and ecological protection of the Pantanal region of South Mato Grosso.
Guidelines and Teaching Activities
To print out a clear direction, purpose and consequently its policy of education, the University Anhanguera-Uniderp established a set of guidelines and activities that constitute the framework for their educational programs for undergraduate and postgraduate. It should be stressed here that this package goes through constant evaluation, and, where considered necessary, modified and / or adapted to better respond to institutional commitments, for constant improvement efforts and improvement of qualification and training.
The design of the Higher Education Institution (HEI) on the teaching-learning process constitutes, in general terms, the constant search for knowledge, which aim, in essence, the human, social and intellectual academic community. Thus, is committed to the socioeconomic and cultural development in their area.
To implement this process the University Anhanguera-Uniderp has focused on the planning and implementation of integrated programs of teaching, research and extension, aimed at continuous improvement of its teaching quality, through integrated planning and rational.
These assumptions underlie the set of institutional actions related to undergraduate education. Therefore, it has been extremely important to formulate strategies that address the universal character of higher education, considering the standard of quality, efficiency and timeliness. For this purpose, constitute institutional guidelines of the education of graduation:
Progressive integration of the functions of teaching research and extension, in order to achieve the goals of the institution;
Fostering a more participatory action in the collegiate course in pursuit of the integration of behaviors and procedures;
Creation of mechanisms and instruments for monitoring and permanent evaluation of teaching and pedagogical activities;
Identification systems to rationalize and optimize the academic administration;
Generation of programs that encourage teachers to develop projects in education;
Development of mechanisms and tools that effectively integrate the student to academic life;
Monitoring the academic terms of productivity, retention and dropout;
Ongoing evaluation of the structures of the courses, with their programs and ementários;
Encouragement of educational activities directed as courses of study, seminars, meetings, etc.;
Increase educational activities diversified, leading to improvement and continuous updating of the faculty;
Implementation of supervised for each undergraduate course;
Offering undergraduate courses in accordance with the vocation of the institution.
The Dean of Research and Graduate Studies has mobilized numerous efforts aimed at implementing a program graduate, following a strategy to deploy them in stages, first by creating basic structural conditions for the strengthening and improvement of undergraduate and concurrent development of research activities, extension and culture as essential to that supports implementation.
The Graduate Program at the University Anhanguera-Uniderp aims to:
Harnessing the potential for deploying existing institutional courses;
Qualifying human resources for teaching and research, and to social needs;
Consolidate the institutionalization of a program graduate;
Develop specific skills for teaching and research;
Use the installed infrastructure and experience in teaching and research;
Create a regional center for specialized human resources to promote social welfare.
