The University Center of Goiás - Uni-ANHANGUERA originated Anhangüera College, a private higher education institution, founded in 1973 and regulated by Decree 71.832/73, of 09/02/1973.

On March 11, 2004 the Ministry of Education (MEC) approved the transformation of the Faculty Anhangüera in University Center. During the course of the process of creating the University Center on National Education Council (CNE) of ECM, several inspections were carried out aiming at the physical infrastructure available to students and qualifications of its faculty. The new institution inherited from the Faculty Anhangüera 30 years of integrity and tradition in higher education.

With proper and adequate facilities for the development of its activities, the Centro Universitario de Goiás - Uni-ANHANGUERA has a building area of 25,000 m2 where the classrooms, laboratories, auditoriums, library, video library, photocopying, library and agency bank. Attachments are a food court, Central Directory of Students and ample parking.

True to its mission as an institution of higher education and committed to academic training, the Uni-ANHANGUERA has significant numbers of teachers, doctors and teachers who work in undergraduate and postgraduate students in line with the educational project focused on the demands of labor market.

Currently, is in operation at the Uni-ANHANGUERA twenty-two courses, sequential courses sixteen and twenty-five courses Postgraduate Sensu Lato and a strict sense. In accordance with the Law of Directives and Bases of Education - LDB, No. 9394/96, initiated in 2001 a program of Colleges Sequential Complementation Studies in several areas. In partnership with the University of Brasilia, started in 2003 the Master of Economics, focusing on Economic Management of the Environment.

The research and extension in Uni-Anhanguera is the supervision of the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research that aims to promote these activities in the nuclei like, within each course.

With the aim of enabling the development of scientific research of its faculty and students, the Uni-ANHANGUERA has Anhangüera Magazine, a periodical for publishing articles produced by faculty members and the Journal of courses designed to promote the production of their students scientific technique.
