The institution was renamed the University Center of Annapolis (UniEVANGÉLICA) starting at March 2004, when it was accredited as a university center, the first of Goiás Until then, it was called Integrated College's Educational Association of Evangelicals, coming from the junction of the Faculties of Isolated ESA, a designation that has ceased to exist in 1993.
Currently looking to the present and looking to the future, acts strategically in order to build an innovative management and shared. Therefore, it redefines priorities in order to realize its mission and thereby participate effectively in the process of building the region's socioeconomic and cultural in scope. It is a reference on the regional scene, both the quality of education as the strategic geographical location, attracting students from neighboring towns, especially among the major Goiânia, Goianésia Jaragua Pirenópolis, Alexandria, Nerópolis, Vianópolis, Silvânia, Ceres and Abadiânia.
The UniEVANGÉLICA develops academic activities geared towards the attainment of its purposes: teaching, research and extension, strengthening its mission to prepare professionals for a labor market innovative and competitive through the continuous updating of the Institutional Educational Project. The teaching staff since 2005, is contracted through the public process of selection, which is important for the institution, because it guarantees the selection of teachers for their academic merit, with positive effects on quality of education offered.
By expanding and strengthening the area's Graduate with specialization courses in various areas and three master's degrees, a fact that ensures the continued education of the students in their undergraduate programs. The institution offers now the masters of multi-institutional Management, Research and Development in Pharmaceutical Technology, in partnership with the Catholic University of Goiás (UCG) and Universidade Estadual de Goiás (UEG), the institutional Society, Technology and Environment, and institutional Education, the result of an agreement with the Catholic University of Goias
The research is slowly expanding its space in UniEVANGÉLICA. It presents an important moment of its process of institutionalization, which is based on the assertion of research lines, the consolidation of scientific initiation (Scholarship Program for Undergraduate Research - PBIC) and the development of masters. The systematic investments in the consolidation of institutional research is already bearing fruit. The first results can be noticed in the increasing involvement of the academic community with each new edition of the Scholarship Program for Undergraduate Research, a differential of the institution.
When it comes to commitment to social welfare, to the extent UniEVANGÉLICA have aligned to teaching and research, its high point. The actions implemented in extension events, courses, projects, programs and services promoted by graduate and technology, in education, health, technology, human rights, culture, environment, among others, stand out in promotion of citizenship and the exchange of the institution with society.
In UniEVANGÉLICA, students never feel alone. He has the support of UniATENDER or the Student Support Center, a permanent channel of communication that helps you in your needs and cares for their professional training and human. The service offers UniATENDER pedagogical, psychological, social and spiritual, and is also open to students who have graduated.
As a social care charity, is concerned to assist economically disadvantaged students in completing their training, and with this objective, it offers scholarships. Established in 2006, the Department of Philanthropy and Social Assistance (UniSOCIAL) is responsible for managing the actions of philanthropy and social welfare of the institution, and one of his main responsibilities is to run the selection process for scholarships. The institution is also linked to the University Scholarship Program, and the ProUni Fies.
