Coming from distant places, with a great hope for better days, and with iron will to work and build their homes, came to this land the pioneers. They came to plant, harvest, live with animals, and build their homes and raise their children in the same land where the Guarani Indians had been, and some were still here.
The small river of crystalline waters of the Guarani Indians had received, the name of Naviraí, a name that has spread throughout the plot. Thus, we can give this version a name already known to all. Navidad - Castilian means nativity or birth. Come - the Guarani, flower purplish hue. Therefore, taking into account the meanings of prefixes and suffixes in Guarani, one can present the following version: Naviraí - small river steeped in purple bushes.
Thus, the name of Naviraí originated in observation of the early explorers of the cycle of yerba mate, because of the existence of local trees and shrubs, to renew the foliage, presented the new leaves with a purplish color e. subsequently acquire the characteristic green.
Ask Law No. 1915 of November 22, 1958, Naviraí is elevated to a district, the municipality of Caarapó. And with the development efforts of those who lived here in this little town grew and became a city.
The municipality of Naviraí was created by State Law No. 1915 of November 21, 1958, as belonging to the District Municipality of Caarapó. Law No. 1944 of 11 November 1963 the council passed, gaining political-administrative emancipation. The Finavera has its origin in 1987 in the Faculties of Education and Geography of Naviraí - FEGEN. Starting its activities with the operation of Pedagogy and geography, which are authorized respectively by Federal Decree No. 95120, 04/11/1987 and No. 95490 of 04/12/1987.
With the incorporation and Authorisation of courses and Literature (Decree No. 97646 of 12.04.1989 and No. 97647 of 22/04/1989) in 1989, the institution was named - FLANAV - Faculty of Arts and Administration Naviraí, being held at that time, the Educational Society on November 11.
On October 8, 1991, by Ordinance No. 1846, approved the transfer of FLANAV sponsor, which shall be maintained by the Center for Teaching Naviraí - CENAVI (which had been founded in 01.10.1985) and the Institution receives its current name: Integrated Colleges of Naviraí - Finavera.
The course was created following the Accounting Sciences School of Accounting Sciences, approved by Decree of 22.03.2005 (DOU 23/03/1995) and was approved by Ordinance No. 1212 - MEC from 13/06/2001 .
In 2003, through Ordinance No. 3019, 24/10/2003, were allowed Courses Higher Normal School Early Years Elementary and Early Childhood Education offered by the Institute of Naviraí - ISENAV.
Currently, Finavera is a higher education institution with headquarters street Laurentino Pires de Arruda, No. 220, Jardim Progresso, in the municipality of Naviraí - MS and serves students throughout the region. Its scope is the Southern Cone region of Mato Grosso do Sul, a 150 km radius, covering cities such as New Horizon South Juti, Itaquiraí, Eldorado, New World Mall, Japorã, abrade and Tacuru.
