Faculties Alves Faria (ALFA), maintained by the Educational Center Alves Faria Ltda. (CENAF) are members of the José Alves, long entrepreneurial tradition in many market segments in the State of Goiás, in particular, dealer registration and distribution of Coca-Cola products for the states of Goiás and Tocantins.
ALFA appears against the background of higher education in 2001 as an institution devoted to excellence in education in Business, in order to meet the growing local and regional demand of qualified personnel to meet the market demands, establishing, as major premise, the quality education, with reference to the best schools and colleges of the country
ALFA develop their academic activities on three campuses, strategically located in Goiânia, and the Headquarters Campus-located in the northwestern region of Goiania and two units, one in the center and another in Bueno, both designed in the same quality standard both in physical structure as the academic organization.

The institution was accredited by the Ministerial Decree no. 443 of March 31, 2000, beginning his academic work in August of that year, based on its provision in the General Rules and in accordance with the Law of Directives and Bases of National Education (Law no. 9.394/96) legal basis of consent decrees in the MEC.
ALFA offers undergraduate courses, graduate and extension.
Undergraduate courses in the Administration maintains, Tourism, Education, Accounting, Economics, Law, Media (Qualification in Journalism), Social Communication (Specialization in Advertising), Information Systems, Computer Engineering and Psychology, all recognized CMB concepts with the MEC.
The Graduate Program in a broad sense, has to offer specialized courses such as: Political Journalism, Cultural Journalism, Teaching Higher Education Institutions Management of Basic Education, Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure, Labour Law and Procedure Labor and Tax Law and Tax Planning. It also offers MBA courses, such as in Business Management, Personnel Management, Logistics Operations Management, Management in Corporate Finance, Audit, Controller, Accounting and Cost Management, Accounting and Public Management, Marketing Management, Project Management, Management of Information Technology and Management of Tourism and Hospitality.
The Graduate Program, strictly speaking, Masters in Regional Development, was approved by CAPES, in late 2006, with concept 3 (three). This is a Master Professional with specialization in Regional Urban Planning and Demography, with first class started in the first half of 2007.
The Faculty of Colleges ALFA is formed by teachers, including specialists, doctors and teachers, carefully selected, taking into account his professional and academic titles and appropriate to the activity areas in each of the courses offered. The Institution, also counts with a staff of administrative personnel, suitably qualified, with the goal of providing the necessary support to faculty members and students.
Faculties Alves Faria develop their academic activities on three campuses, strategically located in Goiânia, and the Headquarters and Campus-designed two new units within the same standard of quality, both in physical structure as the academic organization.
Campus-based Colleges of ALFA, located in Perimeter Avenue North, no. 4129, Vila João Vaz, in Goiânia (GO), has an area of 424,740 sq.m, with spaces intended for academic, administrative, sports and culture and leisure, and ample free parking and an insured, with 2,000 vacancies. Designed in a modular fashion to meet progressively, the demands of undergraduate and postgraduate students and the needs of research and extension, the current academic complex has a building area of 42,000 m², divided into four blocks, with spaces for to classrooms, computer laboratories, laboratories of specific courses, library and administrative offices.
For service to students, faculty and staff of the headquarters unit, the living areas have the services of medical clinic, bank office, two cafes, a restaurant, two photocopiers, a soccer field and a sports field.
The classrooms are sized to accommodate 50 students, with individual area of 1.60 sq. ft. per student, equipped with desks of university type, with padded seat, for use whiteboard pens and green chalkboard for chalk. All rooms are air conditioned with individual devices Splits.
The technological infrastructure is well scaled: the ALFA has a link to four megabits and Brazil Telecom, which provides direct and continuous access to the Internet from any of the five hundred and twenty existing computer equipment in labs, the teacher's lounge , at the library and administration area. It is also available to users in the premises of the campus wireless network (Wireless). Currently, ALFA Project Metrogyn part, aiming in the near future, access to the National Research Network (RNP), with speeds up to 1 Gigabyte.
Faculties ALFA adopt as a philosophical principle the formation of democratic values and citizenship, coupled with the production of knowledge. This view assumes a higher education institution dedicated to training citizens who are capable of responding to the challenges of our time, able not only to act in local communities, but also to understand the sociocultural context regional, national and global levels.
In this sense, ALFA provides, maintains and updates, permanently, its physical infrastructure, technological and human resources to meet the demands of new times, aware of the importance of contributing to the production of knowledge that will help in the materialization of sustainable Goiás State, the Midwest Region and Brazil.
