In 52 years of Higher Education and 34 years as a university, the University of Taubaté - UNITAU trained almost 88,000 students who work in the regional job market, nationally and globally.
With approximately 20,000 students, UNITAU's commitment to providing quality education is guaranteed by a team of 700 teachers (75% of doctors and / or masters), with 800 employees and an extensive infrastructure with 99 laboratories, a bibliographic more than 240 000 copies and 50 research groups in the areas of Humanities, Life Sciences and Exact.
Created: Municipal Law No. 1498 of December 6, 1974.
Recognition: Federal Decree No. 78,924 of December 9, 1976.
Reaccreditation: Ordinance EEC / GP No. 30, dated January 24, 2003.
Scheme: is a municipal institution of higher education in the form of educational authority of the special system and shall be governed by general and specific legal provisions, by its Statute and the General Rules.
