The large population of Santo Amaro felt the absence of a university. The need was so obvious that a group of prominent citizens from various activities - including businessmen, doctors, dentists and teachers - decided to join forces and create, in 1968, a Higher Education Institution.
The primary mission of the new entity was to provide quality education. And it began to be realized with the operation of medical courses, Physics, Mathematics, Pedagogy and Literature. Together, they led to Fasa - Schools of Santo Amaro.
In 1994, this institution became the University and became known as Unisa - Universidade de Santo Amaro. Today Unisa has three campuses in the region of Santo Amaro in Sao Paulo, Poles and Support Face to offer distance learning courses throughout the country. |
