The IMESB (Municipal Institute of Higher Education Trough "Victório Cardassia") is located in the town of Trough, the northern region of São Paulo, the center of one of the richest regions of the country. The micro-region includes neighboring counties linked directly to the Trough, which is considered the shopping and services. The meso-region in a radius of 150 km includes cities that participate in the economy related to agro-industrial flow and transport.
The IMESB-TV was created in 1983. It serves as a municipal entity with legal personality under public law, offering financial and administrative autonomy within the limits set by the Municipal Law No. 1612, published on 10.27.1983, regulated by Decree No. 1955 of July 25 1987.
On November 28, 1988 have opened registration for the first college entrance examination, held on December 12 of that year with the approved registration from December 21, 1988. On February 27, 1989 was held the 1st inaugural lecture. The Municipal Decree No. 2621 of 21 October 1992 called the Office and the Municipal Institute of Higher Education Trough "Victório Cardassia" In August 1993 the IMESB-VC started to function in today's premises (street Nelson Dominic Wood, 300 - Park Eldorado).
It is a nonprofit institution that aims at improving the quality of teaching of undergraduate courses. That is not aimed at profit also allows the institution to act with a monthly payment up to 50% less than that charged by private colleges. Besides the IMESB has programs to support student scholarships as:
- Grant IMESB with up to 50% discount;
- Agreements: Municipal and Private Companies;
- Case for Public Employees Trough: contractors, commissioned and effective;
- PROESB and FIES
Mission
Our mission is to maintain a posture constantly updated, offering our students opportunities to learn the requirements of the job market. Accordingly, we reaffirm our commitment also to society, so we can work in harmony with institutions and strengthen our intention to form, along with excellent professionals, citizens social transformers.
The IMESB has a responsibility to provide a healthy academic environment in which our students can, in addition to classes, improve their knowledge by participating in events that will always complement your training. Thus if effectively every year the week for each course, with redoubled efforts of our engineers, features lectures, workshops, visits to companies and Trough region, debates and presentations of work done in class.
