Located in Sao Joao da Boa Vista-SP, Octavio Bastos Educational Foundation - UNIFEOB offers 29 undergraduate courses, including 11 undergraduate technological lasting 2 to 3 years. It also offers several graduate courses in the areas of Business (MBA), Education, Law, Veterinary Medicine, Health, Humanities, Information Technology and the Environment

The UNIFEOB has over 3,000 students of St John throughout the region and several states. With 45 years of tradition and recognize the institution is a member of ABRUC - Brazilian Association of Community Universities, the University has the 3rd age and also undertakes various social activities.

With a complete structure, the UNIFEOB has two campuses:
On Campus 1 is located to the Vestibular Department, Central Library, Computer Labs, Model Office, Home School, Sports Court and all administrative sectors of the institution, and the Cultural Centre.
On Campus 2, are located the laboratories of the courses of Healthcare, Computer Labs, Library, Veterinary Hospital and other venues to support the course of Veterinary Medicine. It also has Restaurant, Sports Court, and the new parking building that was built especially for vocational courses.

In addition to its two campuses, the institution has the Farm School, with over 150 acres, where they developed practical activities and interdisciplinary courses of Veterinary Medicine, Life Sciences, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Education, among others.

To facilitate interaction and integration of students into the labor market, through stages, maintains the CAP-UNIFEOB Central Support Professional. The institution also has a series of agreements with companies and institutions across the region, and a policy of discounts and benefits.

The Octavio Bastos Educational Foundation is a private entity and nonprofit sponsor of the University Center - UNIFEOB, which houses the undergraduate courses in Management, Life Sciences, Accounting, Social Science, Law, Nursing, Philosophy, Physics, Physiotherapy, Geography, History, Literature, Mathematics, Veterinary Medicine, Education, Chemistry, Information Systems and the degrees of technology: Agribusiness, International Trade, Environmental Management, Financial Management, Commercial Management, Quality Management, Production Management Insdustrial, Public Management, Logistics, Marketing, Management Processes.

The institution was founded on November 4, 1965 under the name Sanjoanense Education Foundation, a group of citizens headed by Octavio Bastos da Silva, at the time, the mayor of Sao Joao da Boa Vista. The first college of law was established in 1966, which had its recognition in 1972. This college had as its first director Dr. Octavio da Silva Bastos.
In 1971 he was deployed to the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters. In 1973, came into operation at the School of Accounting and Administration, recognition of which occurred in 1977. The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine began in 1987 and was recognized in 1992.
In October 2001, was authorized by Ordinance No. 2201, the opening of the course's degree in Biological Sciences which began operating in 2002. By Ordinance No. 2200 was also authorized the Bachelor of Nursing course. Both were evaluated positively by the MEC, getting the maximum design concepts and pedagogical infrastructure (classrooms, laboratories and library).
By decree No. 950 of 2002 authorized the course of Bachelor of Physiotherapy and the decree No. 837, the same year, the course's degree in Information Systems. Both went into operation in 2003.
With its growth and integration of their courses there have been changes in their status, and together the undergraduate and graduate courses were included in the FIFEOB - Integrated Faculties of Octavio Bastos Educational Foundation in 2002.

In December 2003, after complying with all requirements of the MEC, the FIFEOB earned the status of University Center. Thus, we adopted the name UNIFEOB - University Center Octavio Bastos Educational Foundation.
On April 24, 2004 to UNIFEOB joined the select group of institutions of higher education recognized for his community work as one of 45 affiliated entities ABRUC the Brazilian Association of Community Universities - among more than 1,600 schools of higher education Brazil.
Besides the academic activities the UNIFEOB has several projects, social and cultural, involving teachers, students and staff.

To use the academic community and development of its actions, the research project, the Foundation hosts two campuses which are located several Computer Labs, Office Model-Forum-school, two libraries, science laboratories and specific health, Teaching Hospital Veterinary Medicine, Farm-School, and amphitheatres in the Cultural Center and sports courts.
The UNIFEOB also offers several courses in graduate and University of 3rd Age, a pioneer in Brazil, was established in 1992.
