The University Center of Sete Lagoas - UNIFEMM has a history marked by the credibility of 43 years of tradition and regional identity as excellence in quality in higher education. During these four decades, the institution faced many challenges - from the beginning of the Educational Foundation Monsignor Messiah - FEMM with secluded Faculties of Philosophy, Science and Humanities, Law and Management Sciences at the University Center in Sete Lagoas, maintained by FEMM, which today offers 22 undergraduate and three graduate courses.

And the challenges do not stop there. As an important regional center for education, the mission is the UNIFEMM Ruling in favor of scientific, technological and cultural development of our region. This mission extends its responsibility over personal and professional training of students, since the beginning of the course, participate in research projects that consolidate and extend a professional attitude capable of meeting the challenges of a society in constant transformation.

With a highly qualified faculty, composed of 80% of Masters and Doctors, the UNIFEMM invests in quality higher education dedicated to the sustainable development of the region and attentive to the necessary scientific and technological innovation, in consolidated partnerships with public and private institutions.

The University Center has a planned infrastructure and managed, taking into account in all its ramifications, the legal requirements for access to people with special needs. Open to external and internal communities - teachers, students and employees - and its central library, the two Technological Vocational Centers managed by the Institution, the Center for Business Development and Entrepreneurship and the Center for Legal Practice Course Law are examples of the insertion UNIFEMM the educational context, combining the theory and practice, vocational training and the concept of social responsibility as a development tool. Furthermore, is nationally recognized as UNIFEMM Socially Responsible Institution by the Brazilian Association of the Maintainers of Higher Education - ABMES unfulfilled social inclusion projects annually.

In UNIFEMM, gives emphasis to the higher qualified. Proof of this is great recognition of undergraduate and graduate before the labor market, through the graduates of UNIFEMM, now rely on competent professionals, a broad theoretical and practical training.
