Maintained by the Association of Schools Together, the University Center Central Paulista - UNICEP since 1972, has been expanding its activities and maintaining their teaching course projects dynamic and updated in accordance with national guidelines of courses, provides education in touch with reality and consolidates knowledge through the actions of their students. Every day, significantly improved its administrative processes, increasing the participation of the academic community.
Created new courses, expanding business opportunities for their students. Established itself as one of the best and most respected institutions of higher education in central Sao Paulo and the State of São Paulo. Thus, the institution has fulfilled its goal of educating citizens and qualified professionals in undergraduate and post-graduation courses (specialization courses and MBA), Management Training and Continuing Education, in different areas of knowledge, contributing to regional development and preparing students for life, strengthening the social commitment that the institution has been developing for decades.
The physical infrastructure has comfortable rooms, ample space to support teaching and research, equipment and modern laboratories for the experimental study of practical learning courses, contributing to the betterment of students, with updated equipment, latest generation, developing students in technical and scientific skills essential for their training. The libraries are communal, open daily, including Saturdays and Sundays, with specialized collection, study rooms, reading and research, database and Internet.
Its faculty consists of highly qualified professionals, able to play their roles in teaching, conducting research, educational practice and extension activities, grounded in educational support programs and institutional evaluation processes continued.
The endowed UNICEP San Carlos and its region of a higher education institution with conditions of further studies and investigations of local and regional issues in order to contribute to the integrated and sustained development of the Central Region Paulista. Today, UNICEP has two campuses located in Sao Carlos, Alpine Village campus and the campus Michael Petroni.

Postgraduate Courses - MBA and expertise in San Carlos are all classroom and with legal support in Resolution No. 2001 of 08/06/2007 of the National Council of Education. The courses are recognized throughout Brazil. Classes are offered only on Saturdays and in the "Campus" Miguel Petroni.
The UNICEP offers postgraduate courses since 1998 with great success and numerous other classes already completed and in progress, becoming well known throughout the central region of São Paulo.'ve Been certified by October 2009 more of 1600 graduates in their post-graduation. Still, the past four years, UNICEP offered their courses in Piracicaba, Monte Alto, Porto Ferreira, Rio Claro, always in partnership with local institutions, with many classes already closed and with excellent exploration
Significant investment in physical infrastructure, human resources, research and extension became the University Center Central Paulista as a reference for higher education in our state.
Recently, in September 2009, UNICEP again won the highest score in the General Index of Courses of ECM, among university centers of the region of Ribeirao Preto.
