The Cultural and Educational Association of Para - ACEP, was established on 01/10/1986 as an institution of private law, nonprofit educational character, as stated in its Charter. The institution aims, among others, keep the Centre for Higher Education of Para - CESUPA.
Throughout its history the Center for Higher Education Para receives the National Council of Education on June 14, 2002, his credentials as the University Center upon publication in the Official Gazette, Ordinance No. 1728, of 06/13/2002, changing its name to the University Center of the State of Pará - CESUPA. The victory achieved represents the culmination of the work thus far developed by the group and establishes the institutional educational project CESUPA, built with safety and balance, and tuned with a socio-economic and cultural diversity of our community.
The CESUPA, committed to the principles of quality and contemporary, incorporates in its academic mission, essentially, the functions of teaching and extension, covering research in some specific areas of its operations.
The proposal's academic CESUPA has been constructed from an integrative character in order to overcome the dichotomy between general education versus special education, reserving the first for undergraduate education and, second, to graduate.
The idea of integration, it noted, is the main line of the academic project, along with the reorientation of intellectual attitude and action of future professional CESUPA. This concept integrates involves three aspects: integration of theory with practice, teaching and service integration and disciplinary integration.
Along these lines, expect to get at the end of the process, an education that provides power to the resolution of problems more frequently, according to an integrated, critical, efficient and committed to social reality.
The education establishment is CESUPA particular level, maintained by Educational and Cultural Association of Para - ACEP, with headquarters in Belém, Pará, which has, in participation, the key element for ensuring the quality of growing either in terms of internal efficiency, both in terms of external efficiency of their programs.
The CESUPA, as provided in Article 2 of its charter, aims to:
The formation of high level professionals and the promotion of graduate programs;
The conduct of research and encouragement of creative activity;
The development of the extension in the form of courses, provide services, consultancy, advice and other modalities of action extensionist;
The promotion of exchange and cooperation with educational institutions of different levels, as well as with professional services, aiming at the development of culture, arts, sciences and technology;
The use of the educational process for the recovery of the individual citizen, their social adaptation and development of reflective thinking;
The promotion and enhancement of the Amazon culture.
The methodology of the courses CESUPA is based mainly on:
pedagogy of possibility and integration;
in the process of continuous assessment, evaluation entendento act as a building process;
learning geared to qualify people able to understand the complex global reality and contextualize it;
reflect in an integrated way, on the various and different contexts;
in active learning designed to gain specific knowledge and establish associations and joint relevant and appropriate.
Even with regard to methodology, it must be emphasized the importance of teacher-student relationship, which is geared to provide the students develop skills to intervene in the context in which they live. This requires constant dialogue and debate effectively, respecting the intellectual and cultural peculiarities of teachers and students.
There is much talk in the learning process geared towards the student's intellectual autonomy, ie that provides the ability to stimulate student thinking. This requires the expansion of space and time for the cause in this college student to think logically. To this end, the proposed educational CESUPA houses two major components:
integrators and complementary seminars;
time for the student in order to help you reflect on the learning of the various units that make up the curriculum structure. |
