The stakes are high and its body politic is aware that there are still institutional variables to be revised or improved. Despite this fact, it is imperative to highlight the indications of improvement developed in the last three years, which demonstrates the linearity of the goal of continuous improvement of the institution in teaching, research and outreach and quest for quality, which are:

Faculty

In late 2006 the FAFEM had 44% of master teachers and doctors today are 75% of master teachers and doctors, with real chances of reaching 80% of masters and doctors in 2011 with the completion of Masters underway for some teachers. The improvement of teaching in each titration course was also significant in this period, namely:

Computer Science: in early 2007: 36% of masters and doctors, in 2010: 78% of masters and doctors.

Accounting: in early 2007: 67% of masters and doctors, in 2010: 76% of masters and doctors.

Administration: in early 2007: 57% of masters and doctors, in 2010: 76% of masters and doctors.

Pedagogy: in early 2007: 54% of masters and doctors, in 2010: 75% of masters and doctors.

Lyrics: early in 2008: 72% of masters and doctors, in 2010: 83% of masters and doctors.

Besides the policy of increasing teacher profile in relation to the titration, the institution has been striving to provide greater involvement by the teaching institution and now has teachers with part-time and full that are ahead of the coordination of courses, coordination of extension or extension projects and research.

In teaching, research and extension are also significant advances such as the creation of the coordination of extension in 2008, and institutionalization of this final at the institution, developing new programs and activities, as well as investments in new technologies that have improved, expanded and diversified support services to the student as a wireless network throughout the campus, the NEAD - Support Center Guided moodle system developed at the Central Coordination Stage - CCE, a computerized system manager of the internship, the reactivation of the Junior Company - under the new name EMPREM, the development of a policy of updating and expanding the library collection, new labs, new systematization of pedagogical support, among others.

In this new century, the FAFEM are responsive to changes experienced in society as a whole as well as the fact that relations between people and organizations move forward swiftly and continuously. Result of such changes, new demands and capabilities to be developed and, therefore, the educational projects of graduate programs in operation are being reformulated.

The challenges will require sensitivity and ability to involve new social groups concerned with the cultural and educational activities and motivated by them. Such challenges and objectives require strategic alliances are indispensable due to the competition and concern for the pursuit of efficiency and effectiveness. Such alliances must be guided, as mentioned in the annals of World Conference on Higher Education held in Paris in 1998, "by principles of solidarity, not relations of domination by more powerful institutions on the weakest.
