Ibmec is one of Brazil’s premier management education schools and research centers. Over 20 years of knowledge accumulated since its foundation in the 70s served as the cornerstone for the decision, in 1995, to create Ibmec University in order to offer degree programs in Business Administration, Economics, International Relations and Law, in the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte.
Ibmec’s undergraduate programs were awarded the highest ranking in all the evaluations conducted by the Ministry of Education. The pioneering and forward looking approach that guides the institution led it to become the first learning center in Brazil to offer an Executive MBA in Finance in 1985.
In 2000, Ibmec introduced two Master’s degree programs specifically tailored to the professional community: the Professional Master’s degree in Business Administration, followed by the Professional Master’s degree in Economics, both recommended by Capes, the federal institution responsible for graduate education in the Brazil.
