It all began more than half a century with the establishment of the College of St. Louis by its founders Carregari Afonso Martins, Waldemar Martins, Angelina T. Martins and M. Perrone Iraci Martins de Castro who built and underpinned all the academic and physical structure so that in 1972, was allowed the operation of the College of Education St. Louis
With over 30 years experience in higher education since its foundation, offers courses in BA: Mathematics, Literature, Art Education, History, Geography and Education.
In the period 1999-2003, while retaining their vocation in teacher education, adapted to all undergraduate new curriculum guidelines, proposed and implemented by the LDB: Letters (Portuguese / Spanish) and Biological Sciences. Seeking to meet the new trends in the labor market and increasing demand, the St. Louis School of Jaboticabal (FESLJ) has launched a graduate program in Law, Administration, Executive Secretariat Trilingual (English, Portuguese and Spanish), Information Systems, Social Communication (Advertising and Propaganda) and Nursing.
All courses are recognized, which shows that St. Louis has been fulfilling all the requirements of the Ministry of Education (MEC), without losing sight of the line with the needs of the competitive job market. The concern and challenge in training people with a critical reflection of the social, cultural, political, economic and existential, lived by the Brazilian people, led to St. Louis to authorize and deploy the course of philosophy in 2006 and recognized with excellence in 2010.
The institution's experience in offering postgraduate courses in the broad sense dates from 1993. In 2002, the MEC has obtained accreditation for the provision of postgraduate courses broadly in education, using the method of the Distance Education and has recently been accredited to offer them in all areas. In the years 2004 to 2010, the Corps deployed Vincent, Pocos de Caldas, MG, Sorocaba, Campinas, São Paulo, Santo Andre, Bauru, Sao Jose do Rio Preto, Ribeirao Preto, Franca, Pardons and Jau-MG. This demonstrates that the institution is in harmony with global trends that indicate the need to use new technologies as a tool to democratize access to education.
The St. Louis School of Jaboticabal shows itself as an institution citizen, with a modern structure and prepared to meet disabled people (air-conditioned rooms, padded desks, blackboards panoramic upgraded laboratories, a library with over 40,000 volumes), adding an academic population that exceeds 5,000 students, more than two hundred teachers (experts, teachers and doctors) is focused on quality education, extension and social responsibility, revealing a humanist identity.
Facing a values education College St. Louis plays its role of social responsibility in different areas, totaling 25 projects to the community, among which are: Unit for the Visually Impaired Eye Care of the Soul; Center for Legal Practice ( free care to the community), St. Louis Music Band Literacy Development; Digital Inclusion, Pedagogical Workshops, Enterprise Junior (Course of Management and Information Systems), among others.
It should be emphasized is the participation of St. Louis in funding programs and student scholarships for study with federal, state and municipal governments, namely: FIES, Family School State and City, and PROUNI CEBRADE (financing).
Further, at its facilities with an office of CIEE (Center Integrated Business School) for assistance to students seeking an internship opportunity, and get assistance to put into practice everything they learned in theory.
