It is no coincidence that the Faculty of Cenecista Itaboraí winning daily trust and respect of society. With an educational innovator, focused and a privileged faculty, the home institution has trained competent individuals, entrepreneurs and critics, valuing the humanistic aspects of professional activity.
In addition to providing a consistent structure (classrooms, laboratories, technology, computers, library) to education adopted in functional courses, also has a large area allocated to sports and leisure.

History
Mission
Through competence, and responsibility in offering a differentiated instruction, quality and ethics, the Faculty of Cenecista Itaboraí 's mission is to stimulate a current student critical thinking and constructive about the implementations and fundamental changes to the progress of his professional life. Acting on specific actions, such as preparing for the inclusion of the individual in society as a professional already in tune to the world scene.
Vision
Offer soon, new options for courses like Law, Physical Education, Physiotherapy, Information Systems and others, in addition to ongoing improvements in the structure to provide students with optimal conditions for usability of space and credibility in the use of local education.
Social Responsibility
The Faculty of Cenecista Itaboraí adds to the concept of Social Responsibility, attitudes based on a better quality of life of human beings.
In his undergraduate courses, the FACNEC provides access to candidates from public and private schools, with the right to compete for scholarships through the internal quota system Prouni philanthropy or by the Ministry of Education.
The FACNEC also conducts courses, projects and events involving the academic community and open to various sectors of the external community, thereby aiming to contribute to the development of the population.
In 1998 CNEC - National Campaign for Community Schools, through its National President, U.S. Rep. Alexander Santos, realized his dream of creating the 1st Cenecista School of Rio de Janeiro, FACNEC.
The FACNEC started its activities on the premises of the College Cenecista Alberto Torres, located at Rua Pres. Costa e Silva, 212 Centro - Itaboraí - RJ, under the direction of Prof. Arthur Cezínio Almeida Santa Rosa.
He made his 1st vestibular August 29, 1999, starting the 1st class with 63 students, mostly former students of CCAT.
The course in Business Administration, long requested by residents of this city was received with joy by the whole community, which for years had only one option for higher education - Pedagogy, which served only to teachers in the region.
In his inaugural lecture held on September 5, 1998, was attended by major civil and military authorities of the city and attended by the then Governor of the State of Rio de Janeiro, Marcelo Alencar.
In 2004 started the Superior Normal Course in 2007 was transformed in Education, already has trained several classes.
From the first semester of 2004, took over the FACNEC, by appointment of Rep. Alexander Santos and State Superintendent Dr. Alberto Werneck, Prof º Luiz Torres de Assis Mascarenhas, former employee of MEC and former director of Campus New Delhi University Estacio de Sa.
Currently, has trained several classes of the Course Directors, have also the Course of Pedagogy, Literature / Port and Port English / Literature, Mathematics, History and Geography and has its clientele from the neighboring municipalities and Tanguá, Macacu Waterfalls, Rio Bonito and Sao Goncalo. It has projects to implement new degree courses such as Law, Physical Education, Physiotherapy, Information Systems and others.
Since the second half of 2005 offers courses Postgraduate Itaboraí and several other cities of Rio de Janeiro, aiming at the expansion and training of professionals from different fields to meet the needs of the labor market.
The National CNEC studying the possibility of soon build its own building to house the undergraduate courses of FACNEC with modern facilities, laboratories, auditorium, classrooms and appropriate to the wider variety of courses to be taught.
From 1 st half of 2010, took the helm Prof. MS. Marco Aurelio Togatlian with training in pedagogy and psychology, with extensive experience in management of higher education and managerial vision and dynamic targets to be met in order to short deadlines.
