On October 28, 2002 to UNINORTE starts its activities with the mission to "train professionals of excellence recognized by the world of work, ensuring quality of processes at all levels of higher education through improved composition of the teaching methodology and qualified faculty promoting learning and knowledge production, to ensure, through better allocation of resources in terms of facilities and the technical and administrative, comfort and safety to their students, economic self-sufficiency and to financial institution, adding value to society and Maintainer " .
In accordance with this conception, the institution concentrates its efforts to contribute to the formation of the individual, giving her a critical sense, the ethical criterion and the ability to judge and act properly, making people aware, trained to professional and civic life, as required of modern society.

Contextualization
Acre, the high state in 1962 with a land area of 153,697 km ², is very new and rather extensive. His people, including leaders, are hardworking, creative and enterprising and does everything that the state has a bright future, but the needs are significant. It is observed that the regional productive sector requires skilled labor to better exploit the economic potential of the state, inserting itself in the domestic and global competitive manner.
When the keepers of Rio Branco UNINORTE chosen to host the Baron of Rio Branco Colleges and College of Acre, were aware of the challenges to be faced. To this end, they organized a good team, outlined objectives and goals and were willing to meet them. The request for authorization of courses according to the pressing needs of the region was another goal. And in just over 8 years to 24 courses UNINORTE has authorized nine recognized courses and over 7,000 students. Acre also offers the community several postgraduate courses, including a Masters in Partnership with IUPRJ. In 2010 celebrated another important partnership, now with the Fundação Getulio Vargas - FGV which is a center of quality teaching and excellence that dedicates its efforts to the intellectual development of the country.
