Founded October 4, 1998, the Association Educacional of the Amazon, which sponsors the Faculty Seama, envisioned building in Amapá, a distinguished institution of higher learning, committed to quality teaching and facilities, to offer courses in the unpublished state.
Until then, Amapá had only one private HEI, with few courses. The student who wanted Amapaense have other options to pursue a career, I had to leave his family, his friends and Amapá to venture to a distant place, entrance exams and adapt to other realities facing difficulties.
A year later, after extensive research and hard work, we conducted a dream: born Seama School. Accreditation by the MEC was in December 2000 by Ordinance No. 2152, which authorized the same time the Tourism course. It was then published the decree No. 139, the 1st of February 2001 allowing the course of journalism. The first occurred on vestibular February 18, 2001, offering places for courses in tourism and journalism.
Subsequently more and more courses are coming and the institution become a reference in teaching quality and facilities. Today SEAMA College has 14 undergraduate courses approved by the MEC and 09 courses. These services are supported in a physical structure, modern and comfortable. It has more than 30 laboratories, a library model, agencies, Center of Legal Practice, stationery, cafeteria and extensive clinical and equipped national reference. It has one of the best pictures of teachers with master teachers trained by the best doctors and teaching institutions in Brazil and abroad.
Besides offering all this structure and be pinoneira in most undergraduate courses in the State of Amapá, SEAMA worries to advance into various other sectors, such as installing the first institution in the State Ombudsman's Office, the first Ethics in Research The first Scientific Journal, the first professional team composed of university soccer athletes need, and a great social responsibility program, the SEAMACOMUNIDADE.
The SEAMA brings many professionals and teachers from outside the State of Amapá, even by its pioneers. This mixing of cultures enriches the lives of our integration and student. We strive to maintain an atmosphere of friendliness, freedom and responsibility in our work environment. Our faculty has a Nucleo Integration Pedagócia Excellence in Teaching and acting that provides training and support needed for class. SEAMA The institution is one that goes hand in hand with the community, participating in every event that is invited, especially those that result in social benefits.
The School is recognized as an IES committed to the social and cultural progress of the state and the Amazon region, to supply the lack of courses and offer unprecedented prospects for new and current student Amapá and Amazon. Our mission is to provide educational services to promote efficient the continuous improvement of quality of life of the academic community by contributing to the social and technological development of Amapá and Amazon.
BEST COLLEGE OF AMAPÁ is not self-designation: For 7 consecutive years SEAMA is so elected by the main vehicle for communicating the state, through interactive research, whose last award was given in September 2010.
The Faculty SEAMA was born for a gaucho with a Amapaense. In 1998, together with the Centro Universitario Carioca undertook the creation and administration of the first sequential courses of higher education in the country, creating the Higher Education System of the Amazon.
Due to the success of the initiative, already in 2000, became a reality a dream: born a second private college Amapá - FACULTY SEAMA authorized by the Ministry of Education, with courses in tourism and journalism. With the philosophy of maintaining a quality institution, which could boast of having the estudanete Amapá Amapá here in an educational structure and quality, were forming a group of faculty members and to reach this goal, always baptized by institutional self-evaluation.
Thus SEAMA was excelling in local and national scene. With 12 courses approved during these 10 years, has been recognized repeatedly for its excellence in education through local awards and finally the evaluation of the Ministry of Education when its reaccreditation. For 7 years running Our people received the award for Best Faculty of Amapá. He received several editions of Best College Award, sponsored by the Union of Secondary Students of Amapá. Structure envied, with the construction of new building in 2007, SEAMA aims to provide students with all necessary iunstrumentos for his solid training in undergraduate, from laboratories, equipment, access, and ombudsman services. Flaws exist, but we are trying to improve every day.
Today the Faculty SEAMA is a reality in Amapá. Its graduates occupy important positions in local leaders, whether in public service, liberal or private. This sedeve the great potential of faculty and their dedication, commitment and philosophy coma institutional mission, composed mostly of graduate professors.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
For the consolidation and implementation of management policy and philosophical principles of the Faculty SEAMA propose the following aims and objectives:
I- Act in the training and graduation of professionals ethically responsible and technically competent professionals in different fields of knowledge, preparing them for entering the world of work and research, and active participation in national and local development, and in particular, Amazon region;
II- stimulate cultural creation, the development of the scientific spirit and creative thinking and critical-reflective;
III- Promote Education, Research and Scientific Research, through undergraduate courses, Sequential, Graduate and Outreach, and other educational methods in all branches of knowledge, aiming at the development of science, technology and creation and dissemination of culture;
IV- promote exchanges and scientific and technical cooperation with other institutions;
V- Preserving and promoting democracy and ethics proposing them as an alternative reading of the meaning of human existence;
VI- promote the formation of global social person as a participant, stirring the desire for constant improvement and cultural training;
VII- Education for sustainable development and nature conservation by contributing to raising the quality of the regional population;
