In recent years, there has been a significant increase in contacts of our University as academic exchanges, through agreements with foreign universities, companies and institutions, national and international, to achieve joint research projects, symposia, teacher exchange programs - student, graduate programs, social outreach programs, etc. This policy of national and international expansion of the University, has allowed Univalle achieve academic and scientific cooperation of other countries.

The experience acquired from years of observance of these conventions, shows its great value in opening scientific and academic perspective to our teachers and students, while places also available to other universities, companies and institutions, knowledge and experience of the Valley University can offer. Research and joint publications on the one hand, and enhancement of academic curriculum, the other, are important consequences of the collaboration agreements.

Also, in the case of student exchanges, it joins the academic and human experience, which comes in contact with the academic world new and different, a more valuable educational experience that will only enhance the capacity, efficiency and mutual understanding in the university and professional level.

Universidad Privada del Valle was founded on 4 October 1988, having obtained, in compliance with the Constitution of the State, its legal by Supreme Resolution 205336 dated November 4, 1988, signed by then President Constitutional President, Dr. Victor Paz Estenssoro and the Minister of Education.

Organic Statute was adopted in his seventy-eight articles and Curricula of professional careers.

Subsequently, the Constitutional President of the Republic, Mr. Jaime Paz Zamora, rose to the rank of Supreme Resolution Supreme Decree No. 23527, 17 July 1993.

In 1994, opened the Academic Units of Sucre and Trinidad (Subvenues), while the Academic Unit of La Paz was opened in 1996.

In July 2001, was received by the Ministry of Education and Culture and in compliance with the General Rules of Private Universities, the University Full certification.

The history of the Universidad del Valle reflects the fact that "We are the scientific answer to the future." So we built the first and most modern Bolivia University Hospital, Clinics Dental, plant food, TV Channel, Travel and other strategic business units in mechanics, Consulting, Pharmacology and various services for the population.

Universidad Privada del Valle is based on the universality of scientific thought, it means that science, technology and its applications are the heritage of humanity. It is also based on ideological independence with respect to political parties, religions, business and union organizations.

He also believes that basic correspondence between National and University and that ongoing evaluation is a necessity, along with the permanent interpretation of the requirements that are posed by the University for its development and to assist in the development of their activities.

Arises, then, an institutional vision that suggests that training and full implementation of scientific and technological advance will contribute to the creation of social welfare, based on a comprehensive education and aims to use as a means for strengthening spiritual faculties, moral and physical. Add to that the Mission is to evangelize the field of science, technology and culture.


The academic process is teaching and learning, research and extension, ie social application of science and technology. It is not different activities, which may or may not be articulated and complete. Are activities of a single process, no parallel activities are not overlapping but the synchronized global development of the academic process.

The development of these activities, as part of professional training, when done in a comprehensive and scientific modeling ensures the right of the graduates.

Ideological independence

It is considered that the ideological independence in relation to political, religious, business and labor, ensures a smooth training process.


The University must develop its activities in full coordination and correspondence with the plans and development programs in the country, and not take into account the development strategies to adapt the academic process to them, is to work without direction.

Comprehensive Planning Cycle training is the only mechanism that ensures the scientific development of the academic process.


The University considers it essential that research is the national mechanism for adaptation and adjustment of the global science and technology to the requirements of social wealth creation in developing countries. This central activity does not exclude other research.

Research, as part of the academic process, must first support vocational training for undergraduate and graduate, therefore, designed to society.

Research is a commitment to society, which should give answers to overcome economic and technological gap that separates us, increasingly, highly developed countries.

Communication and Coordination: The Academic Process enriches and strengthens when establishing internal and external media communication and coordination.
