National Technological University San Francisco Regional School is located on the western side of the city of San Francisco, more precisely on the 501 University Avenue in the heart of a landscaped site of 40.000m2.
The three-storey building area 3800m2 and more houses classrooms, laboratories, libraries, administrative offices and the development of the various activities that make up the Academic Administration and university life.
Among its laboratories have devoted to: Physical, electrical, Testing and Electrical Machinery, Electronics, Mechanics, Mechanical Testing and Metallography, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Microbiology and Computer battery.
The equipment of the same is consistent with the current technology and is updated regularly, it is appropriate for the development of the experimental part of the various technical specialties that are taught in the Faculty and with additional capacity to provide IT services to companies that request.
It gives special emphasis to the implementation of software utilities and tools for training both engineers and graduates, who once graduates are specially trained to use them professionally.
To facilitate management, internal or intranet networks are based on Windows NT that interlinked the different areas and different laboratories, with full access to the Internet via the University Computer Network (RIU) with other hits in backup function, on which to work both teachers and students of the Faculty in-house (chairs, research) and from the exterior of the house of higher learning.
Software should also be noted that last generation: Calculation and Finite Element Simulation, Simulation and Optimization of Process Plants, Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing, to name just a few of them, allow the formation of students with the use of technologies full use in the industry, using in addition to training and retraining of technical staff of companies through the university extension and the provision of technology services specific to them through groups dedicated to developing these applications.
