The strengthening of our democracy is sustained in large part on the consolidation of representative and effective and continuous communication between the governors and society as a whole. For this, lifelong learning should be encouraged government leaders, social leaders and public officials in order to promote an efficient, effective and efficient development and the democratic quality of government.

The EG is a field within the structure of the proposed UNVM accompany the development of democratic institutions, providing quality in public administration, creating a constant link with the various disciplines taught at the university.

The University, meanwhile, has human and technical resources that can assist in the task of training leaders in research on governance and public opinion and in the evaluation of policy processes, all of which contribute to improve the formulation and implementation of public policies and, ultimately, civic plural.

In its institutional project, and since the inception of this University, aims to strengthen the region and the accompanying political processes and governance within its area of influence.

For these reasons, we propose the creation of a School of Government (EG) for training and leadership training, coordinated and executed from the Universidad Nacional de Villa Marķa (UNVM).

School of Government Program was approved by the Board of the Institute for Academic Teaching of Social Sciences, National University of Villa Maria by Resolution No. 107/2009 dated 25 November 2009.

The trajectory of relationships with different municipalities of the region provides a historical value in the experience of joint work with local governments, covering a specific application that receives, in addition, upon ten years of joint development with social economy organizations from the Diploma of Local Development, carried out with eight municipalities.

The area of vocational training and includes instances of undergraduate and graduate degree aimed at management and integral management of national, regional, provincial and mainly local.
At the same time, raise territorial development strategies based on existing agreements with all universities through the National Inter-University Council (CIN), the National Ministries (Social Development, Health) Provincial Ministries (Government and Security), the Civil Partnership Popular Studies (ACEP) and regional bodies such as Regional Development Ente Intermunicipal (ENINDER).

The local becomes relevant since, the province of Cordoba has 422 municipalities (including municipalities) with partnership projects such as ENINDER which gathers 47 municipalities.

In turn, this structure extends beyond provincial boundaries and added there Microregion associations as in the case of the municipalities of East and West Santafesino Cordoba (ECOS).

For his part, and with national impact, ACEP provides the territorial extent since its permanent structure in 16 provinces, and contributes to the efficient formation of political leaders through his ten years of experience in carrying out similar nature.

The infrastructure of the University makes available to the EG physical facilities and virtual spaces that contribute to the provision of distance learning alternatives.

The EG also replicates the three pillars supporting the UNVM and relate to teaching, research and extension. The latter, understood as a transfer of knowledge relevant to society as proposals for interventions and / or monitoring of specific projects.

It aims to create reflective and critical spaces containing the Formation of Political trained to the definition of government policies from which the University fulfills the fundamental role to accompany and promote the emergence of new ideas.
