The National University of Rosario was created in 1968 by Law 17,987. Foundational structure was a detachment of the Universidad Nacional del Litoral from whom the first academic and administrative bodies at that time included: the faculties of Medicine, Science, Engineering and Architecture, Economics, Philosophy, Law and Political Science, Dentistry, Agricultural Sciences and Hospitals, schools and high schools that it also depended on the Higher Institute of Music of Rosario.
Since its inception the National University of Rosario rosarinauna society began with the working relationship which was generated from each of the projects launched and which was expressed in a sustained growth in line with the demands of the region.
Its current structure is 12 schools, 3 secondary schools and 1 center for interdisciplinary studies.
