Objectives of the University of Salvador •

La Universidad del Salvador, according to Academic Staff, is essential and specific goals:

• The comprehensive education and scientific, humanistic and Christian "of their students, in all races and specialties, in order to promote professionals, teachers and researchers;

• Scientific research can demonstrate the harmonious synthesis of science and faith;

And in general all higher education teaching aimed at the Christian view of the various human problems.

Integral Training

The task of "integral education" that the University intends to, necessarily:

Training as a person
La Universidad del Salvador defined itself as "Community Church rooted in the Nation Argentina" believes that there can be no comprehensive education explicitly or implicitly does not lead to the Christian worldview. The struggle for personal training is a struggle against materialistic views and degrading of human beings.

La Universidad del Salvador is a religious university and therefore must be faithful to the Gospel message and the spirit of the Society of Jesus who created it and gave him a way of fidelity to the Church and open to dialogue.

From this perspective, which brings the University to the training of its members is evident not only in matters theological or philosophical worldview but illuminating all its activities and witness as an institution wants to give a lifestyle where understanding, respect and dialogue are the foundations of the relationship.

Gives primacy to the ethical and transcendent about the intellectual element to illuminate the past and bring it to fruition in works of value.
They are good men be integrated into all levels of relationships: with God, with other men, with himself and with nature.

Training as a Argentina

The University must affirm the historical national consciousness, to affirm their identity, to access, from there to the universal.

The University rejects all exogenous and materialistic cultural model that is alien to the feelings of our people, or technocratic mentality as the only pattern.

Looking back to the sources, emphasize the continuity of a process that, from the Spanish and indigenous twofold and then incorporating European and Latin American immigration, paid our identity and existence as a nation.

Rescue as your own is also going to the living history of people, their inherent creativity, an essential factor of national culture.

Professional training

Accompanied by previous scientific training and / or technical-professional, have a fertile soil and a concrete man-Argentine-settle.
Thus, the path of specialization should be illuminated by the light that emanates from the consciousness of the unity of knowledge by reversing the current process of spreading the knowledge. It's about recovering the essence of the "University", leaving the road leading to the "multiverse".

The scientific, technical and vocational education should combine the general with specialization, ie it must know which are the major problems (at individual, regional, national and global) and, in particular, should be able to develop research, teaching and technical application of their discipline, with a high level of knowledge of it. Scientists should be formed capable of developing their specialty, not one-sided perspective.

The specialist must have enough creativity to adapt the model created, out of their surrounding reality, to form regional and national levels.
One aspect of the latter, also a function of the university and its graduates, is to adapt technology to their own needs and circumstances.
It advents the responsibility to criticize the current approach to technology is the engine of history and not a tool integrated into community development.

Present USAL

For 50 years, when it was founded by the Society of Jesus, the educational activities of the University of Salvador (USAL) is guided by a humanistic and Christian concept that facilitates the formation of solidary people and open the dialogue between science and faith. The vast array of education in the USAL combines extensive experience with advanced engineering curriculum, which includes the latest teaching and methodological concepts in teaching classes and pre-professional practices.
