Congress University (UC) is the youngest of the universities of Mendoza. Sponsored by the Postgraduate Foundation of Congress, the unit was temporarily permitted to operate through the National Executive Power decree No. 2377, dated December 28, 1994.

Graduate Congress Foundation, established in Buenos Aires and authorized to operate by resolution 1229 of 20 December 1990 the General Inspectorate of Justice, handled the Institute of Public Policy for Latin America, higher non-university level, under this jurisdiction General Directorate of Schools of the Province of Mendoza (IPPAL E-90), whose objective was to form a ruling class for the provincial government. Institute Foundation and designed the project to create a new university based on the IPPAL, which was authorized in 1994 under the terms of the law then in force, the Law 17,604 and other national standards.

The University started in the academic year 1995, with the offer of the first two races authorized degrees in Management and Marketing, with their respective orientations.

In the period July 1995 to March 1998 were approved by the Ministry of Education, seven runs and eight new undergraduate degrees: Bachelor of International Relations, in Tourism, Environmental Management Communication, Information Systems and Economics Bachelor of Science and Faculty of Education.

Since 1999, the University accommodates its institutional instruments: the Academic Staff College with its corresponding General Rules of Procedure, the Institutional Project and Action Plan for its development. This culminates in the recognition and approval of these institutional instruments in September 2001 (Ministerial Resolution 804/01).

On April 29, 2003 authorizing the establishment of the Postgraduate Foundation Congress in the city of Mendoza, authorized to operate by resolution 414 of the Department of Corporations of the Province.

The University of Congress and Congress Foundation Graduate developed their institutional project, gradually and selectively integrating different disciplines through professional careers and research and extension activities.

Between 1999 and 2006 completed the curricular offerings of careers: authorizing five new degree programs, the Public Counter, Advocacy, Architecture, Psychology and Foreign Trade.

Since 2005, we offer careers in Marketing and Marketing with International Orientation, the only extension of the University of courtly Congress, 1679-1603 processed by file, opened in August 2004 and located in the city of Cordoba. In 2006, authorized from the University Academic Council, the opening of Psychology and Tourism. In 2007, at the request of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Cordoba, authorizing the opening of the career Foreign Trade.

In June 2008 the new authorities assume the university and establishes the Advisory Board whose primary function, as an advisory body, is provide the resources necessary to meet the institutional normalization processes. Today the University has completed its Self-Evaluation Report submitted to the Ministry of Education in November 2008 and received the External Review under CONEAU agreement signed in June 2009.
