Documents that make up the history of education in Arad in Transylvania and took a beautiful activism, sometimes with dramatic accents, the intelligentsia Arad to establish a University in these places. Events in December 1989 meant for residents of Arad and the expression of hopes in the academic plan. After petitions, rallies, admirable endeavors, Arad's voice was heard. Government Decision no. 567 of May 18, 1990 stipulating the establishment of the Higher Education Institute in Arad, Institute of sub-engineer the structure.

Establishing UAV

Act establishing the University "Aurel Vlaicu" of Arad, the original as "Institute of Higher Education" was based on Government Decision no. 567/18.05.1990, Order of the Minister of National Education no. 7751/1990.

Name University "Aurel Vlaicu" of Arad, attributed by OM 4894/1991, designating the state higher education institution based in the city of Arad, No Revolution Avenue. 77, Romania, and is a registered mark by certificate no. 54 850 State Office for Inventions and Trademarks and shall enjoy the protection Law. 84/1998, in that, in Romania, educational services are performed solely by the institution, as above. In addition to name, brand mark also includes a chart that includes the background of a shield, symbolizing the insignia of a medieval town which indicate points UAV Arad.

University "Aurel Vlaicu" Arad is a state higher education institution which has as its primary mission the training of specialists in the fields and specializations required by the labor market, in the spirit of democracy, love of country and development of human personality. In the university, scientific research is conducted in collective and research centers that include teachers, researchers and students, in the spirit of knowledge and innovation, the development of science, technology and socio-economic progress. The quality of teaching and scientific research is an asset of the University "Aurel Vlaicu" in establishing relations with national and international openness.

University assumes a fundamental role:
